Yesterday, June 6, 2004, we published a new world guide to bathing naked - 'Bare Beaches'.
Bare Beaches is written by: Mike Charles and Nick Mayhew-Smith, with Selina Gibbs
Appealing to anyone who has ever skinny-dipped (a quarter of all Britons according to a recent NOP survey) or has ever wanted to, Bare Beaches is the perfect companion to every destination guide.
According to co-author Nick Mayhew, "It’s about time guidebooks caught up with the fact that nude bathing is so nice, so easy and so popular. There are thousands of places in Europe alone where you can enjoy the sun and the sea in this most truly natural and relaxing way."

The guide gives a unique introduction to more than 200 of the world’s best beaches for going bare, with descriptions of where to go and what to expect.
Destinations covered include Spain and the Spanish islands, France and Corsica, the Greek islands, Portugal, the Caribbean, Croatia, Bahamas, Mexico, the US, Australia and New Zealand.
Bare Beaches also includes helpful lists, for example: most family-friendly nude beaches; best beaches for a short break; most romantic beaches; best beaches for snorkelling and best beaches for winter sun.
Packed with stunning colour photography the focus of the guide is primarily on the beaches themselves. However there are also maps, details of nearby accommodation, hotels and spas with nude bathing facilities, and full-scale naturist resorts.
