I've been a guest here for some time, but have now registered to share my experience with you.
Like a lot of guys, my wife had always said she wasn't particularly interested in visiting a c/o beach, but last week we headed off to Spain for some last minute sunshine. Our first day involved a drive to Benalnatura as I'd researched it prior to leaving. We walked down the steps and the first view was of several folks standing at the cafe, obviously totally naked. She made no comment and we found a plot on the fairly crowded beach. I laid out our towels and removed my shorts and turning around, saw my wife had removed hers too, even before taking her top off! So much for my misconception of her shyness. She was totally naked about 2 minutes after taking her first step onto the sand.
The rest of the week was spent at the nearer Costa Natura. Not so pretty a beach, but in my view far friendlier and less formal. In fact every morning my wife was the first to be ready to set off for the beach and definitely the last one who wanted to leave it in the evening. She even got used to walking with nothing on, but her beach shoes, up to Renato's bar for drinks and food.
We're now looking at spending a full vacation at a resort such as CN or Vera Playa so there'll be no time wasted on daily travelling. I've read many guys & gals on here saying their partners won't consider naturism and I hope we can offer some glimmer of hope to them to never give up. It really is a joy to sunbathe and swim the 'natural way'.

Good news! Thanks. I spent a day at Benalnatura this summer and found it crowded and too gravelly for my tender feet. Nice place though.
I tried going to Costa Natura - I understood they allowed day visitors, but the fellow at the desk wasn't receptive to the idea.
A place I enjoyed better was Playa Cabopinho, between the two. There's a long sandy beach, sand dunes behind, and a cafe some distance along from the main beach entrance. The beach slopes gently into the water so swimming is safe. You have to wear clothes in the cafe, but some of them are pretty sparse. The beach is designated nudist but you see all sorts of options from no clothes to 'normal' textile beach wear and no-one is bothered by either. I didn't notice anyone classified as a gawker, unless you count all the people in clothes (or not!) walking the length of the water's edge. There are some accomplished oriental masseurs/-euses who can give you a fine hour-long, full body massage for €20.00 on your towel on the sand or on a beach 'hamac' at the cafe. Yes, I'll be back!

Charles,
Congrats on your wife crossing over ... LOL ... We had about the same experience as you and once my wife tried it she was hooked also. Like your wife, mine couldn't wait to get back the next time.

It really is amazing how quickly you do get used to it. My wife always said...no way!..but after some beginnning jitters enjoys it as much or more than I do now.

It's a bit like selling cars. If you can get the customer behind the wheel, you have a better chance of making a lifelong customer. Same goes with getting a spouse, gf/bf, etc., to try nudism. Once they try it, it sells itself. Seems women have the most objection to nudism, but once they see that everything is okay with it at a nudist place, then they sell themselves. It is a new dimension of growth, although a profoundly basic one, that changes the perceptions about other people, as well as the self.
