isn't it amazing fema and the federal government are such big proponents of global warming but have no problem allowing these trees to be chopped down - what you want to bet the mighty $$$$$ is involved. i'm not a tree hugger but i know we can't chop down all the trees to put in another wally world or some condo building which neither are needed. also interesting these folks were allowed to strip nude for a protest and the law looks the other way but a nudist on a lone trail enjoying nature gets complained on from someone with binoculars a mile away and next thing you know he is cited and possibly taken to jail for public indecency.
Speaking of naked hippies from the 60s, here's an article with some evocative photographs of the legendary Camp Taylor, a long-gone commune on the Na Pali coast of Kauai.
