Thanks MikD for reviving this topic. Brought to mind my thoughts when we had our first social nudist experience in this decade at Papagayo at Club Orient. Not sure what to wear the first night at the restaurant, my wife opted for a beach coverup with nothing underneath and I wore an unbuttoned shirt, bottomless. Turned out we were right in style. Unofficial dress code there seems to be guys nude and gals with either a top or bottom, but usually not both. Top is more common. Cold shoulders seem to chill the entire body.
I was told by a friend (at a time when he had no hair and I still had a good headfull) that to stay warm, you need a tuque (beanie) - otherwise your body loses heat and to protect itself, it starts to draw heat from the extremities to keep the head warm. So I guess one should not go 'topless' when nude.
