I had the same issue Melissa, well about controling partners (Not being asked for sex/dates allla time).
A good relationship should be about give and take and should be a Partnership, not a dictatorship. Unfortunatly there are alot more Takers then there are Sharers. That is our society for you, we raise our kids to 'Grasp what you want, Do anything you want to do and have a goood job so you can buy all kinds of good stuff, or marry a doctor' not 'Be a Happy, Healthy human who makes others Happy aswell, give as much as you get'

Like the other men here, I would say yes... Although I can't answer for women, I think the same follows for women's attitudes toward men.
It seems there is something that just overflows when someone has a healthy confidence.
I mention healthy because there seem to be all sorts of unhealthy types of "confidence" (if you can call it that).
In my experience, it was a matter of 1) those women around me who were not fishing (best term I can figure out right now) for a mate but just looking for a friend or human interaction and 2) someone who is not threatening and 3) someone not afraid to be upfront about being a person (as opposed to an exhibitionist or introvert)

I agree with you bornnude, just wanted to know the male prospective. Sometimes being friendly is mistaken for flirting, and being confident and not ashamed of your body, enjoying being nude, is sometimes taken by men as being open for sex.

I don't want a woman I can control, I want a woman who is her own person and who doesn't want or need someone to control her. Such women (and they are out there) are nowhere near as appealing as women who are confident in who they are -- and it is a far more powerful attractive force than good looks.
Yes, there are certainly men who only want a woman to control (and the reverse is also true). But I've never seen a happy relationship like that. Only the opposite!

I agree Kim, it depends on the guy though. Most of my friends are women so I dont take it as hitting on me unless someone says 'Hey! Ya wanna go on a date!'
I know it has probably lost me atleast one girlfriend because they didnt think I was 'into them'. I see women as friends first, unless it is obvios that that is not what they want.
Now if I woman comes up to me and lands a big ol wet one on my lips I will know she doesnt wanna be friends :) But some guys are so selfcenterd that a woman can bump into them, or even be in the same Room as them and they will think that she wants them.
