While this may not be a problem for nudists to the south, it can be for nudists in the north.
I keep one room warm and let the rest of the house stay around 68 degrees. I wear just a shirt in the cooler rooms, and nothing in my warm room, so to speak. Works out pretty well.
Some nudists might keep the whole house warm for the winter, but naturally that keeps the heating bill pretty high.
I belong to a nudist group who rents an indoor swimming pool that's 92 degrees in the water and inside the air around the pool. A touch of summer! Of course, when you step outside the building, winter lets you know it hasn't forgotten you.

We don't get nearly as cold as some places but here in Southern Cal, it can get cold (25-38) at the coldest part of the night but usually warms up enough that we can be naked all winter long with usually just the electric fireplace on.
If I'm on the computer in a office, where it's colder than the rest of the house, I'll wear a flannel and use a space heater to take the chill off and if I'm typing on forums ... it's not long before the flannel is unbuttoned or removed! hahaha The speed of these fingers banging on the keyboard is enough to warm me up!

During the winter I will have a sweat shirt on, more to keep my shoulders warm. The house stays about 68-70 during the day. While the wife does not share being nude, she is always cold, so likes to keep the heat up. What I really miss during the winter is being able to be out in the sun. Since it has gotten cold here, the good tan that I had from this last summer is almost gone. While I do my winters, come on warmer temps and being able to be out side.

Luckily, the house I moved into a year ago is a lot better at retaining heat than other house was. The electric heater/fireplace unit actually heats the livingroom a lot better and the distance is further away. I sit in my recliner and not have worry about putting clothes on to be comfortable.
Now if I can only work out the privacy issues for the outdoors in the warmer months, I'll be all set!!!

It's been cooler these past two days but I still was naked the entire day ... with a flannel shirt by the back door for my trips to the work shed and the trash cans. While on one of my quick trips to the trash cans, our neighbor was out by his. He's 6 ft and can see over our short 4'10" fence but he was back a few feet ... which was good because I just slipped on the flannel and wasn't wearing anything else. We talked for quite some time. He was really friendly.

I'm just wearing slippers around the house. I justify keeping the heat higher because I don't use much cooling during the summer.

Trips to the woodshed, FireProf? I haven't taken any trips to the woodshed since I was a bad boy (according to my parents).
So far, I am just wearing a shirt - like Donald Duck.

I put up a woodshed a couple years ago, but I built it so cheap that it came down in a storm. In summer I cut firewood naked too.
Naked is green.

Hi! I tend to be a home nudist in the cold weather, however I plan to go to my home club which has year round facilities. But, finding the time! I'm getting a little cabin fever already, need to shed the clothing before I turn into a textile!

hahahahaha ... we just returned home from a 5 day/ 4 night stay at our favorite little beach town on the Central Coast of CA. We did lots of textile things; shopping, site seeing, tour, more shopping, eating and beach boardwalk walks. The weather was not cooperative for a trip to the nude beach about 3 miles up the road so we had to settle for hotel room nudism. Our room faced a restaurant and we thought it would be difficult to be naked with the windows open so we could enjoy the ocean view but ... on our first night there, sitting on a bench watching the sunset, I got up to check for the hours of operation because we thought we'd eat at that restaurant. I couldn't believe it but ... the restaurant was closed for the entire month of December so ... we were out on having dinner at this restaurant but ... we were able to keep the window blinds open, be naked in our room and have an awesome view of the beach and ocean.
When a nudist is faced with having to wear clothes for too long ... we always find a way to take them off and live as we prefer!

I'm still just as naked in the house in the winter as I am in the summer. Only difference is I sometimes put a blanket on me on the couch when I'm watching tv.

It's holiday season so I don't get online as much but came on today to check up on any relevant topics. Unlike most of the country it doesn't get all that cold here in so California but we do have our moments. We are always nude at home no matter what time of year just adjust the heat.. We have a heated pool and spa which we use year round. Our local nudist club does not feel it's in the budget to heat the pool during the winter so we don't spend much time there between nov through about February.

It's often too expensive to heat the entire house even in central CA, so we localize the heat with radiant heat dishes, a roaring fireplace, and hot tub/spa. When you run to the bathroom or to get a drink you freeze, but that makes the heat feel so much better when you return...

As for us we keep the house warm with cranking up the heaters to at least 80F, also we fire up 2 wooden stoves as well as light up the chimney.
