So glad that this topic is still alive after so many years... Indeed, back than we were alone, let's say trendsetters and see what happened: smooth shaved is everywhere, almost the standard. I still shave, and now more than pubes. Never wanna go back to the bushy bits...

Back into total shaving. Being smooth is being nude. Love it ! Feels and looks so great and free. Trying different methods of shaving, getting lots of great ideas from forum members. Now, I am very pleased with Gillitte Mach 3 Razor and Gillitte womens Satin Care Gel. No nicks ! Hair just glides of in the shower.

Hi all here,
2010 will be my first sumer as a smoothie. I promise to let you know the reactions I get in my club and at Costa Natura (Spain) in august.
Did laser sessions for the past months. Hairless now, I take the plunge !

Hi all, Interested to know what kind of recations you got on the fact that you are not only a nudist but also shave. Did you get much negative emotions or just positive?

I have stayed smooth since my hernia operation a few years ago. I prefer it smooth and will never go back to hair in the chest and groin areas.

I have been a nudist for a long long time and I find this shaving trend disturbing. It has a childlike look which is not natural at all, except to children. It is also a turnoff to me and frankly looks weird. Bodily hair, wherever it is gives the person character and uniqueness. Baldness also looks weird. Shaving is not "cool".

Thank you for joining this excellent group. That is what it is all about, sharing opinions and ideas. I'm bald, but I do not think I look weird, I can not help it So, I shave all over to match. My lady and others like me being a smoothie. Indeed, at first when I shaved for the first time as a teneager, I thought I looked great. Clean and smooth. Strange at first, now it is the only way. For me. Not saying that you would enjoy it, or look any better, in your eyes. Maybe if you just tried it. Exploration is exciting. Best wishes, and thanks for your commments.

Great suggestion Pete. It's just like food. Just because it doesn't look good, don't say you don't like it unless you have tried it. I eat some foods now that I said I didn't like as a kid because I didn't want to try it. I tried shaving nose to toes. I really liked the look and feel but didn't like the maintenance. Now I just trim, but if the mood ever hits me again...I'll shave it all off.

I've always been a "hair" person, unfortunately mine decided to move out. I've always kept it long, and gotten a lot of weird looks, until I got the job I'm in now. Deciding I'd had enough with unemployment, I cut it and took the job. After a couple years I finally went ahead and shaved my head, wish I'd done that a lot sooner.
I seem to have hair growing out of everywhere else so it seems it would be very hard to keep up with a smoothie look.

Hi
Do you just feel more naked when you're shaved? I know I do.
It's difficult to say this without sounding like a pervert or an exhibitionist, but I'm aware that I'm showing more when I'm shaved. You see me for what I am, with nothing hidden. On the other hand, some people would say, I am drawing attention to myself, exposing all. And, yes, I suppose that's true, too.
A female friend of mine, who shaved to a tiny landing strip "because I don't want to do it all and look like I did when I was nine", said that women may well have the same feeling of being totally nude.
"If you think women aren't well aware of how much more they're showing when they shave," she said, "then you don't understand women very well!"
Any comments or personal feelings?

I also have the feeling of being "more naked" when I'm completely shaved...nose to toes. It's like taking off another layer of clothing that is covering the skin beneath.

At this point today I am almost becoming sick of the being shaved trend around the genitals but having hair in other places just looks dumb I mean for a man who sports a Tom Selleck chest full of hair but shaves his junk just looks so dumb. Please I beg everyone stop the insanity and leave just a bit of bush down there.

Amen. IMO Nothing stupider-looking than a guy with a hairy belly and shaved crotch. And let's face it, so many people are shaved nowadays that someone with hair actually stands out. Not that there's anything wrong with either.

LOL ... maybe you two guys should go read the "why do we do this" thread! LOL
Reno ... didn't you mention something about "acceptance" of people in this lifestyle or ... something to that effect in that thread?
Does a guy that shaves his pubic hair really ... I mean REALLY do harm to you? Isn't it about accepting who that person is and not about whether or not he/she has pubic hair around their genitals.
And why is it that "nudists" or so called "nudists" still refer to someone's genitals as "junk?" Are you afraid to say the words, penis, testicles, scrotum, vagina, labia, pubic area, pubic hair, crotch, anus ... what the heck are we in Jr. High with all these silly kid slang names for genitals?
I, for one, am sick of all these so called nudists that pontificate acceptance but then love to bash someone that isn't just like them!
Loves being naked. Plays well with others!

Fire ---you know as well as anything that shaving or not shaving is just a trend that will pass all I am trying to say is me personally am over this so called trend its run its course and is just no longer relevant and yes truth is shaving came from porn, a nudist didnt just try it one day and say wow this feels amazing or different if porn stars did not begin this trend the general public would still be naturally au natural and not shaved as they go now. :)

I agree with fireprof. How can a person call him or herself a true nudist if they criticise everything or anything to do with the nudist lifestyle. Why does a person feel the need to give stupid opinions on the forums. We should as nudists promote it in every way possible. Bad enough we have to reassure those with small penises and other hang ups. Loosen up people...I don't care about our negativity.
