"What happened at San Onofre has more to do with local housing development than sexual misbehavior by beach goers. The local new homeowners are objecting to nudes, period." That makes as much sense as new homeowners objecting to the airport they just moved in next to.

I didn't see this post but ... it's completely inaccurate.
There is no housing development going in ANYWHERE near Trail 6 and what used to be the "nude" section of San Onofre Beach. The prior nude section of San O Beach was approximately 100+ yrds long, before you hit the fenceline that denoted the Camp Pendleton Marine Base property, on the south end. To the north was a natural wash and a lifeguard tower with the number 6 on it.
The property west of the 5 Fwy and the water is state parks land and NOT property zoned for "residental." The property east of the 5 Fwy is Camp Pendleton property. There is no property close by miles and miles where a developer could build homes. And ... even if they did, they'd have to be 4-5 stories high and perched on the cliffs to be able to look down and see the nudes on the beach.
This quoted statement is not accurate at all.

If you've got a short fuse like I do; please do not engage a "misbehavor" without first rallying a couple of people to your cause. Bring it up to the people sitting next to you, see if you can get at least one or two to accompany you and confront the "creep."
I did that at Mazo a couple of years ago. Had I confronted the guy on my own (he got sassy), I probably would have tried to beat him into the sand.

hahahaha ... the Prof's got the "short fuse!" I find myself in situations where I'm either gonna have to pummel someone or I'm the one gonna get pummeled! hahahahaha
But Nudony's right; best to get at least one other objecting nudist to confront the idiot. Speak loudly and make sure attention is being focused on you and the culprit. Everytime this has happened to us ... the person causing the problem packs up and takes off before we do anything but draw everyone else's attention toward them.
Wish more people had done that at our beach, maybe it might still be open.

I agree with Nudony. Best with numbers and with a female leading the charge which will defuse the situation and attract attention and support.
Happy Nuding.

"someone misbehaving" is always a subjective complaint. What you or I see as "misbehaving" that other "someone" sees as a good activity. I'm not sure I would agree with anyone here on what is or is not "misbehaving." Some stuff I would really rather not see, some of you would probably find acceptable, and vice versa. In most places just being naked is "someone misbehaving."
I tend to avoid supporting or interacting with people who's behavior or lifestyle I don't enjoy. I won't go harass them unless someone is getting physically hurt. Just someone else's feelings being offended is probably mutually problematic and I'm not one to decide which of them is right or wrong today.
Don't call the police and become a "problem area" because of the number of incidents. Don't harass someone or start a fight. The best thing to do almost always is Mind Your Own F'ing Business, in my opinion. MYO'B

Bob, you and I might be "old loners" (LOL!), but there are also: - children - reluctant significant others - newbies who are also frequenting/trying out nude beaches.
If the above people stop frequenting nude beaches - because of pervs; that leaves you and me (the "old loners") and the pervs at the nude beach. Maybe that's a world you wouldn't mind living in. Personally, I think that world sucks.
But you can have it!
