One of our hosts in Clothing Optional Home Netwok recently sent this to me and I decided to put it on our website. It's a great tool for giving "new nudists" some comfort to try social nudity. Feel free to share it with someone who might be considering giving social nudity a try! These are real quotes...
most nudist resort have a day to get comfortable (staying clothed) but put a pool in front of anyone and it won't take long to get nude and take a spash in the pool. i also think if you have a nude beach nearby chose it over the nudist resort if someone is reluctant as there they can be more comfortable in a bathing suit and if they get kinda brave wade out in the water and when comfortable shed the suit - seen this several times at nude beach.
The beach was my first social venture into naturism as I pretty much knew what to expect...minus the bathing suit. After a couple times, then I worked up the nerve to go to a non-landed club's swim and then a resort. To even get the nerve to go to the beach, it was due to reading the forums here that answered my questions and put me at ease. This article puts it all in one spot.
Good list! I think number 2 is an important first step and should almost always precede outdoor/social experimentation. I've seen too many people get to the beach or resort and realize they just weren't ready. It then becomes a wasted opportunity. You don't have to become a home-nudist before planning a beach or resort trip. But spending some time nude, everyday if possible, can go a long way to making that first trip easier.
Being a home nudist didn't do much for me. It was like playing baseball at home compared to the Major Leagues. I found that public nudity, like jumping into a chilly pool, is best done all at once, as shocking and (temporarily) painful as it might be. One moment of adjustment, and then bliss...
I do have to say that I found going nude at a beach was much easier than going to a resort.
