Thanks, Bill.
Once we have sufficient pledges to cover the software and other startup costs, I can alert you guys that we're ready to send monies.
I run a web design business (no surprise) and I usually bill my clients with a PayPal invoice. They don't need a PayPal account to pay it, just a normal credit card. I don't mind sending an invoice/receipt if our donor requests it in a particular amount. That's the most direct method I've found.
A donor could also just use my personal email address registered on PayPal (which I'll provide if needed.) But then you wouldn't have the confidence of a real invoice/receipt.
I find those conveniences on PayPay are worth the 2.9%.
Or we could just snail mail a check the old fashioned way. It still works.

PayPal works good for me. I have an account and do lots of business transactions with that account.
Loves being naked. Plays well with others!

It is very disappointing to see how few of us are willing to step forward and support this forum when its future is at stake. The outlook is pretty bleak.

We're at roughly $500. Not bad!
If we don't meet the $2300, we may soon have enough for only the software.
I had hoped to make this the only project on my plate in March. If we're short I'll just have to pursue my other projects and jobs and build the forum in my free moments.

We’ll kick in $100.
On PayPal you can use the “Send Money to Family/Friends” and there is no fee. Might consider doing that.
Enjoy the sunshine!

Wow! Great idea.
And thanks so much for your pledge, MrsAzLagoon.
quote: What about Friends and Family Fee for Paypal?
There are no fees charged (for both the sender and the receiver) if the sender selects the Friends and Family option upon sending the payment. However, the downside to this is the sender will not have payment protection from Paypal. If both parties agree to this method, it can be a good way to save money on Paypal fees.
Note: While it's free to send payment via the Friends and Family option, there is a small charge for payments made with a debit or credit card.

I’m probably the only person alive who isn’t involved in any of those things, but I’ll still support your efforts to upgrade our forum. :-) Bill Bowser - Cincinnati Not lewd, not crude, just nude.

Nope, I'm with you, Bill.
CalgaryMark Recently, I received a package which included a notice: 'Warning: to avoid danger of suffocation, keep away from babies and children’. I also take medication which says on the package ‘Keep away from children’. Is someone trying to tell me something?

Admin, can you include WhatsApp? That is a mode used extensively where there are not many landline phone networks and messages are encrypted end to end. Downside: owned by Facebook (I think). Of course, all these methods detract from using the forum itself!

Maybe we should start an UNsocial media website CalgaryMark.

It's a deal! I won't be Un-cle and you can't be Aunti-social, or otherwise if you prefer!

That's an interesting idea. I'll have to dig into the support documents and see if that's possible.
One reason we no longer occupy the top spots on Google is our entire lack of social media activity regarding NRO.
