Who here has been sprayed by a skunk or knows someone who has been sprayed by a skunk? At least you don't have to worry about skunked clothes if you're a nudist!
In my youth I used to trap skunks. For a kid at that time it was fun and I made some extra money!!
Did you trap them to relocate them or for their pelts? And how much money did you make? How often did you get sprayed? I'm sure your parents weren't happy if/when that happened.
Trapped them for several reasons. Yes, I made money from the pelts, and they were getting into people's chicken coops. Never really got sprayed, but skinning them got a little smelly! One time I had trapped a rather large one. After skinning it I decided that I would take it in the house to show my mother. She was having an Avon party and there were several ladies attending. Walking into the house full of ladies with a smelly skunk hide was not the thing to do. I got ran out of the house rather quickly!
