There was a good suggestion for an "off topic" topic, where the Admin won't gripe at you for ignoring the subject! 
And so, drum roll please, the moment we have been waiting for has finally arrived! In this thread, and this thread only, it matters not what the subject is, nor if there was a subject in the first place. So, what's new with you?

Ahhhhh Yes, weather here today is around 83 degrees with a very light breeze, just came in from the lounge chair, taking a short break from the sun.
After I check the new posts, I'll be back out in it!

We've been in the high 80's and low 90's the last few days. It's more like mid-August rather than early June, but I still take it over winter.

I may be officially engaged soon. It appears my mom, my sister, my aunts, my girlfriend, our co-workers, her former co-workers, her dad, my dad, her sister, and countless others have all decided we're getting married and I haven't officially popped the question. I say officially cause I did ask and she said yes but I'd like to wait till we've been together for a year before making the public announcement. The year will be up this August and her birthday is this July 8 when she turns 37. We're planning a weekend trip to New Orleans and everyone is telling me that is the time to make it official. I feel as giddy as a school kid. She and my mom and sister talk on the phone almost daily and have gone out to eat together even when I'm not around. She's not a nudist but has become comfortable with me walking around my home nude and has become more comfortable being nude around me.

Ah, but does she know that you would like to go to nudist resorts and nude beaches? Not trying to rain on your parade there SailorDave. I am happy for you. I just know from my own experience it would have made things easier in the long run if I had laid all my cards on the table way back when some, oh I don't know, 18 years ago? I think the choice of location sounds excellent from what I hear that can be a very romantic city.

Yep, I told her I'd like to go to such places. I haven't kept any secrets from her. If she's going to love me, let it be for who I really am and not for someone I'm pretending to be. I really wish the "Extreme Home Makeover" show could come to do her house. Her house is worthy of being torn down by the crew but there's only her and her 79 year old dad living there. To give you an idea how old this house is, it was her dad's parents' home originally. The house is over 100 years old and made entirely of wood with asbestos shingles outside (some of the wood is cyprus and the claw foot tub's feet have sunk into the floor and can no longer be seen). Much of her time is spent taking care of her dad taking him to the VA (2 hour drive one way), cooking for him, taking care of the groceries, and making his medical appointments. He's said when he goes the house and property (about a half acre) will be her's. For fans of football, she's distantly related to and lives a few miles from Superbowl quarterback Jake Delhomme. He still has a home in that little town of Breaux Bridge and it's very cute. That town has some great food.

What makes her even more special is the fact that she has one brother and two sisters who live within 2 to 3 miles of her father and she's the only one who takes care of him unless she's really in a pickle and puts her foot down (all her brothers and sisters are well over 10 years older than her) and demands help. She has a second brother but he's working in North Carolina so he has a good excuse. He went to work there when he retired from the Navy. This guy served a year or two after my dad on the same ship my dad was on. Also, she has scoliosis (S-type) of the spine with two bulging discs which means if he's going to need to be lifted in and out of bed or chair, she's going to have to either get medicare to provide an aid or place him in a nursing home. If he gets to that point their home isn't safe. As for a shrink, when I told my family I visited a nude beach in Greece their reactions went from me being crazy to "you pervert". I never brought it up with them again. Paula's been more accepting but isn't willing. She has body issues having to do with her spine and the scar that runs down her back from her neck to just above her tail bone where the steel rod had been inserted and removed. That and her having to wear the back brace in high school contributed to her body issues.

Congrats! Hope for the best! What beach in Greece? I have been to many beaches in Greece and Turkey. (That was before I learned that nudity didn't equal sex) I will probably head out there again in the next year or so. I know that the Island of Kos is pretty much all nude beaches since mostly Germans and English are there. Anyway, Have a good one!

It was the Greek island of Rhodes. There is one main nude beach. The big tourist beach near the city of Rodos isn't nude but women can go topless. There are plenty of small alcove type beaches in which some people freely go nude without fear. I loved Rhodes because of the historical sites, the great food, clear clean water and beaches, and night clubs. Go to my photo album on this site for some pics of Rhodes (cities of Lindos and Rodos). No nude pics were taken.

Here's my latest:
The weekend after next, my daughter is getting married out in California. Her fiance is in the Marines and they felt the need to move up the date, partly for housing reasons. They are having a Justice of the Peace legal wedding and they'll come back here for a Church wedding with the families and friends sometime before February. Not sure exactly when yet. He has to find out when he can get some leave.
If at all possible, I would like to be there for the "offical" actual wedding. (It's a Dad thing.) I'm not sure if I'll be able to manage it, but I'm going to try.
If I get there, can any of you direct me to a nice nude beach in or near Oceanside, CA or San Diego area?
