Being nude is ok, but bare feet may be dangerous!!

I have never cried because of physical pain and I thought I would never till yesterday (at 38) after stubbing my toes against a hidden stone: the pain was sudden, unexpected and excruciating! I hate to show my weakness in front of other people, so I tried very hard to fight back the tears but I didn't manage and after some moments I started really crying. Result: three toes and some small bones broken... I felt ashamed to look such a crybaby!

Let me know if you had similar experiences and what do you think of my reaction, please.

Melan

you are not alone, today we went to a local beach( clothed as it was a public access for a lake)but we were out in about six feet of water having a good time when a small fish ( thank goodness it was small ) attacked me. about chewed off my right nipple, sudden pain, and shock. The first thing I did was look for a dorsil fin, I have never had such a thing happen before. its still painfull tonight, but not as bad.

Just me, Willy

And sorry about your foot.

Melan,
I feel your pain as I stubbed my little toe yesterday against a chair and I did get tears in my eyes but I was bad and yelled out a few expletives! No broken bones, but the toe hurts big time and has turned purple! I was planning on going to Mazo beach tomorrow but I am now rethinking that as it is over a mile walk from the parking lot to the beach and I do not have a bike to ride.

I hope you heal quickly!

Joe

Must be the week for stubbed toes... Mine was Friday and the first time ever that I have had one turn purple.

It happens to me quite frequently that I cry for physical pain. I have Fibromyalgia and the pain is excruciating at times. Like lately. It can be debilitating and lately I've been doing a fair amount of crying. Sometimes you just can't hold it back.
I hope all goes well with your foot, being able to move around independently is one of the things that most helps us feel free.

I think you are the first male I have heard of with Fibromyalgia. Most of those I know of are female. I hope that they can figure out adequate treatment for you.
