There was a good suggestion for an "off topic" topic, where the Admin won't gripe at you for ignoring the subject!
And so, drum roll please, the moment we have been waiting for has finally arrived! In this thread, and this thread only, it matters not what the subject is, nor if there was a subject in the first place. So, what's new with you?

Hope everyone has a safe Labor Day weekend. It's hard to believe that in some places this weekend is considered the end of summer. Those of you Down Under should be looking forward to your summer.

I can't believe the summer is "officially" over already! Where did all the fun I was going to have go?

Summer over? I hope not! As long as the weather remains warm enough to get to the beach a day or two, it's still summer to me. We enjoyed a beautiful day on the Jersey shore today, and it looks like I may be able to return on Thu or Fri. So, until the frost is on the pumpkin, Summer On!

We/Travelites had a great weekend at Carolina Foothills, just north of Spartanburg, SC in Chesnee, SC. All RV slots were filled; there were no cabin rentals left; lots of tents there too. Travelites could be found playing water and sand volleyball over the weekend. Some were still playing when we headed home to Columbia.
Karen/Jerry (Greenville, SC) brought yummy chocolate brownies. (these were an appetizer before dinner)
The luau & pig pickin' was yummy. The DJ dance was fun and what was better, they had the Clemson/Texas A&M game on during the dance on the big screen TV!!! Clemson won by 3 points. It was exciting. I got to share coconut rum/pineapple juice with Sandy/Norbie and another friend.
We filled our gas tank in Columbia before leaving home and still have 121 miles left. There was plenty of gas to be found in the upstate.
The Southern Hospitality shown Travelites members and me is always appreciated. Carolina Foothills has already donated a fun sweatshirt from their FrogFest 2005 and a couple of days/nights to our 2006 auction.
We expect to have lots more warm weather in the Carolinas.
Let me know if you want to join us for New Years Eve in SC's upstate (that's a Sat. night). We'll also be celebrating Allen's 60th birthday! Hugs, Cheri

It was a good weekend, Cheri. I excerpted your "So your partner is interested in nudism" letter for delivery to my other half (She does complete me!). We visited a nude beach a handful of years ago. It was fun, freeing, and she even met a coworker. We both spoke of it often and revisited the memory. But we have not returned. I broached the subject of returning/visiting a local club, but the response was cool. She says her tummy protrudes. Thus the need for the excerpt. We are one and will only participate as such. The best to you in the coming fall.

Sorry to hear that she has body issues. There are others at those nudist venues who have more protuding stomachs than she. Have you offered her a compromise? In exchange for maybe an hr. of her time accompanying you during which she can wear a long tshirt or pareo or even a jogging suit, offer something she'd really like, eg. you cooking for her, you taking her out to dinner, a shopping trip, her choice of tv show or movie, something in your budget. Remind her often of how lovely she is more than you usually do. Tell her that if for any reason she feels uncomfortable, you will gladly leave with her.
I do wish you well. :) Cheri

Hi Y'all; A tear comes to my eyes as I see the days getting longer, a few golden leaves on the ground and thenights definitely cooler up here in Canada. I have had a wonderful nude summer to remember. Did some nude fishing (see album) and that was a blast. Did some nude hiking and laying around on the beach. I am heading for Tucson for Jan, Feb and March so would love to try some nude golf this winter. A guy's gotta have goals.
If there is such a thing as a medal of honour, Cheri, you are the recipient. Your endorsement and promotion of nudism is wonderful. I am not sure where we would pin the medal on you but I am always pleased to hear what you have to say on any topic. Good for you.

Tender86, Hate to break this to you, but unless you've been spending your time in the Southern Hemisphere, the days are getting shorter (not longer). Other than that, I agree with you about Cheri -she's a terrific lady.

Tender86 & James, you're making me blush. :) The words are appreciated very much. There's no general medal, but the AANR does have some awards as does TNS. LOL
I do usually wear a hat when outdoors. Lately, it is my red straw hat with just has the button from this year's national nude week button from AANR. Hugs, Cheri

The New Orleans disaster is quite likely to be repeated if we are stupid enuf to allow reuilding below flood levels. Do we need this lesson a second time??

Ok, so I can't type. I meant the days are getting "shorter." I have a tough time convincing my fingers to type what my mind is thinking.
Hey Cheri, we could hang a medal on your red straw hat..... Whoa .... You didn't go and join one of those red hat ladies groups did ya? Maybe it is just me but forming a group around a red hat is a little lame. I have this picture of you in my mind. There is Cheri nude except for her red hat. I remember a day on the nude beach, I was wearing a baseball cap to keep the sun out of my eyes and as I walked along the beach, nude of course, a friendly lady smiled and said "Nice cap." I replied "Well, thank you. It is my favourite cap. I would feel naked without it." She burst out laughing and we introduced ourselves and had a wonderful visit. So you see Cheri, you just never know what might happen just because you are wearing a nice red straw hat.

I don't presume to tell others where to live or how to dress, and I don't want them telling me where I can't live or how I can't (un)dress.
