I am passing on to you this very important post about the outdoor, unregulated hot spring pool on BLM land in Tecopa, California.
The one the county had operated in the past was allowed to be given to a private company for operations, and they are no longer 24 hours and charge $5/day for access to what was previously available all the time for free!
BLM has closed the wild palm pool as of 11-22. There is police caution tape around it and a notice saying there will be a $1000 fine if anyone is caught using it. They want to regulate it just like the hot springs (water nazis) PLEASE, PLEASE, everyone needs to mail Rich_Rotte@ca.blm.gov or call 760-252-6000 and speak to Rich Rotte and complain about this. Do it before 1-11-06. There will be a hearing on that day in Barstow. They took the springs, don't let them take the wild pool, and then what next?
