The closest nudist park would be Sandpipers Holiday Park in Edinburg, TX. There is no park or resort on Padre Island.

South Padre Island has just an Unofficial Nude Beach. Specific information is on the "South Padre Island's Clothing Optional Beaches" web site:

I think that Natures Resort is actually a few miles closer to South Padre Island than Sandpipers Resort. Plus, if you're single, it may be easier to get in and visit Natures Resort.

i know this is a old post but years ago we were in corpus christi tx and drove out to padre island, i was atually looking for the nude beach but all i saw was sand and dunes and miles of road finally gave up and turned around i guess i didn't go far enough.

From Corpus C. you are on Padre Island.
If you want South Padre go about 175 miles south of there to Port Isabel & cross the causeway to S Padre Island & follow the dictions below.
From beach access # 6 go 10 miles north & you be in Wilacy County . You will be fairly safe from the law there but I would cover up if someone comes close just in case.

pat thanks for the info. i didn't realize i missed it by 175 miles give or take, i really like texas but only been there once but saw alot, just missed the nude beach. maybe someday

There are some areas of Padre Island near Corpus Christi that you can sunbathe nude, but just like those at South Padre, they are not sanctioned. If you travel south of Bob Hall Pier and walk beyond the pilings that mark the start of the National Seashore, you can often find nude sunbathers.
The only sanction nude park in Texas is Hippie Hollow on Lake Travis near Austin, TX.

South Padre Island Drive (SPID) past Laguna Madre and across the intercostal waterway bridge. Keep going South until you see the signs. Can't miss it!
