i dunno if this section is only for hot springs with facilities, but a great and well known C/O hot spring is just outside of Taos, New Mexico, just down the road from Valley View in Colorado. To get there, find a way to Taos and on the north end of town theres an intersection called the Old Blinking Light (OBL) If you go south you go back to taos, north and you go to colorado, east you go to Taos Ski Valley (great for skiing in the winter before the springs!) but you want to go west on highway 64..its about 5 miles west from the intersection, turn right (or north) on a street called Tune Dr. theres only one way to turn and you'll see it just after the junkyard..anyway travel about 3 miles on that road and when it comes to a fork, take the left fork, and then pretty much right after that it forks again, and stay on the left..basically the left most side..follow the dirt road for half a mile or so till it dead ends in a parking lot..it'll have a porta potti at the lot..park there and its a gorgous hike down the Rio Grande Gorge all the way to the bottom..the springs are right next to the river..its awesome!!

I am thinking about going to Spence Hot Springs next weekend and I have never been there before. I have read on one web site that nudists may be harrased or ticketed by park rangers. Does anyone have updated information about Spence Hot Springs? Is it still clothing optional?
