I agree Tuffers. My whole family goes back three generations of nudists. I am 46,and was born and raised a nudist as were my 2 sisters. My husband 47,also born and raised by his parents. We raised our three daughters nudist from day 1..and continue to do so. Both my sisters are married with nudist families of their own. My husband has 1 brother who is alo married to a nudist gal..and their family are also nudists. If each new generation of nudists raises their children the same way,and in turn those children will raise their children the same way..we can increase nudism in general. I am all for promotion and "getting people into nudism",at any age. But its a lot easier to raise our children from day 1 that way. Like Cheri--Im doing what I can as well to positively promote nudism amoung people.

I agree, I'm not doing anything wrong. Trying to show her that will be a trick.

What worries me the most...How about being judged by a bunch of ultraconservative, backwards thinking, brainwashed idiots, who think their way is the only way. How about that for a rant?:)

I think the worst about it is the people that take offense to it because of a religious standpoint. Those standpoints are very deeply rooted. I don't want to burn any bridges here, because I come from a Catholic family (which, like many religions, has strict viewpoints on nudity and human sexuality and gender relations, etc.), but if a simple "Adam and Eve were naked" doesn't put them in their place, I'm not sure I should be talking to them, period.

My family and I are not religious at all. So of course I take issue with people's anti-nude beliefs based on "religious" reasons. I know many, many devoutly religious people who enjoy nudism. So obviously it doesnt have to be a conflict.

In England naturism or nudism is still the subject of inane jokes but on the continent of Europe such as Germany or France the people are so relaxed about their bodies. Even in Germany though I am told that the West Germans, as was are not so open as their East German brothers. Let us all be free to be nude when we want.
As far as I know my wife and I are the only naturists in our family and to the day that my parents died they never had an idea of where we went at weekends in the summer. We are proud to be nude and hate having to wear swimming costumes when we go on Textile Holidays.
Even in the sauna and steam room at my gym they insist on us wearing trunks etc. How daft!!
Allnaturalwife, you have said it all in your "rant"
Keep nude

We used to belong to a gym. Until I went with my daughter one day and we got into trouble for being nude in the steam room. We never went back. Ignorant rules come from the minds of ignorant rulemakers.

I have been nude in a steam room but I thought it was okay since I was seeing many women walking around nude in the locker rooms and steam rooms, so I dropped the towel. But if the owners banned it, I too would have not returned. I agree, rules are meant to revised when times have changed.

Apparently the steam room at our gym was only topless. When one of the staff walked in my daughter and I were completly naked. Oh well we quit that gym..saves us money each month on the membership anyway. We just use the gym facilities at our nudist club now.

I don't believe there is any support at all in the Bible for an anti-nude attitude. Folks who are anti-nude for what they think are religious reasons are actually being guided by their own fears, prejudices, and false assumptions. Condemnation of people for choosing to be uncovered is not justifiable from a truely religious perspective, and doing so makes the "religious" look unloving and untrue to their own professed core beliefs. The problem is not religion. As usual, the problem is the human tendency to use religion to rationalize intolerance.

I understand why there are anti-nudity rules but to me they are silly.
As people have said, saves money on the gym, and you can work out the way you want to.
Bathing suits??? What are they???

One might argue that once we bit the apple, we learned that nakedness is shameful. However, yes, I agree with your point about "the human tendency to use religion to rationalize intolerance." People do it for all sorts of things, and the problem is... we really don't have much of a clue who actually wrote the Bible. I'm going to quote that last remark you made in my profile! Simply brilliant!
