I understand ads are probably what keeps sites like these (no dues) going, but I find it odd there would be an ad for "tiny hidden cameras"? I know they have useful purposes, like security, but it just seems odd. My .02 cents Mike

Hmmmm.....maybe in order to find who has a hidden camera, they will have to start doing strip searches and nudist resorts, lol

Who knows? Anyway those ypes of cameras DO have a lot of non-sleazy uses. Such as preventing theft at the workplace and other security type functions. Hopefully that is the intended purpose of having the add on this site.

All Natural... I agree with the non-sleazy uses. I count count the number of stories I've heard of people using these types of cameras to catch child caregivers abusing their children, stealing and whatnot. But it just stuck me as an odd add. I wonder if the people that inquired about placing the ad had the usual and wrong thoughts of nudist? Mike

I've got a $30 TRENDnet TEW-T1 http://www.trendware.com/products/TEW-T1.htm that detects "Wi-Fi", "Microwave", "Cordless Phone", and "Hidden Camera". I have used it to find "Wi-Fi" Hot Spots, but not "Hidden Cameras".

That is a very old ad! I'll probably change that one out eventually. I think everyone has seen those by now.
Funny, but I didn't really see the nudist privacy connection there when I chose ads to rotate at the bottom of the pages. I just figured you folks had the same interest as I have in new gadgets.
Maybe I should keep it there, to remind people that tiny little cameras are becoming commonplace, and to remain aware of that. No, I'm not happy about it either. I'd much rather run an ad for a decent detector to flush out hidden cameras.

Admin... Thanks for showing me that twist. I didn't even think it could remind people that the camera's could be out there watching them.
Good point.

It seems to me some only want to pick things to argue about. The USA is a free country, This is a free site, if you don't like either one of them; you are welcome to leave!

Roy, Sorry if I ruffled any feathers. I did'nt start this as an argument. It was just something that stood out to me. Would you not question someone selling binoculars or disposable cameras on a nude beach?

Good point Mike. However my family and I bring a camera and binoculars to the beach, and it is COMPLETELY INNOCENT. We only take pictures of our family. We dont see them as nude...we see them as family pictures. I like to look out at the boats with binoculars, I certainly dont use them for anything else. So the mere presence of these items isnt necessarliy for any "weird" reasons. I get your point, but no one questions the selling of cameras or binoculars at the boardwalk of a textile beach. Too bad we immediately have to assume the worst just because we are nude. I know in many cases it is warranted..its still a shame though.

Jenn I've never been to a nude beach or any social nude event, yet. And I probably responded too quickly to Roy's comment. I was just going off what I've read here and other places about not taking cameras to nude beaches or clubs. I have no problems with the innocent shutter bugs. After thinking it through, my response to Roy is: I wasn't trying to start an argument. I think this thread showed others thought it was odd and showed me, the ad could be veiwed as an awarement, and thanks to D-TX, informed us of gadgets to detect these cameras. No argument intended.
