There is of course a Global Warming component. The warmer the temperature the thinner the air and thus a slower dispersal of aroma. When nude this will cause wild animals to come closer. When clothed, often with woman-made artifical clothes, the unnatural aroma will cause wild animals to be more standoffish.

More Global warming, say from an earth average of 54 F to 58 F would be hugely benefical as long as we stay naked. We will be in closer juxtaposition with nature, the outdoor season will be longer and more broadly ranged. More nakedness makes more Vitamin D which may mean far less colon cancer (down by 80%) and other cancers.

Best Wishes, Jim

Gobal warming where? The snow here in s ont is waist deep and temp -20c with the wind it feels like -30c,most nudists appear to be hibernateing till spring brings warmer temperatures. I think the world is just in cycles, winters have been getting colder and more snowier here and then we hear global warming with temp of -40f up north is science kidding Who? Dinosaures have been found frozen near the artic, they didn't know about gobal warming.

It also may have a lot to do with how quiet you are when you are nude. Clothing makes a lot of noise.

I agree with Cheri; there is the lack of artificial scent. But I think there is also the lack of artificial, unnatural color from clothing. And then the unnatural sound clothing makes. Nudity is the best camo suit because it is uniform (unless you're unevenly tan).

I've learned from hunting, washing clothes in normal detergent leaves phosphates embedded in clothes. Animals can see the glow from the clothes that we can't. I never wash my hunting clothes with detergents. Never considered hunting nude. It may be worth a try. Don't have much success other wise. Have nothing to loose.

Fulldraw and ddoger, Good points. I tend to forget that many animals have sensory preceptions much more acute than humans (dogs can sense some odors up to 1000 times better than man) and some humans don't have at all, such as ultraviolet ray vision used by birds of prey to track small game urine trails.

go n nude, Just having fun with global warming (GW). GW caused by man is a huge hoax. Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" cannot be shown in British secondary school without disclaimers on nine of Gore's points first being presented or otherwise the film would be banned because it is political indoctrination not support by current science.

Best Wishes, Jim

Jim the gobal warming issue is maybe their diversion from the real serious problems of greenhouse gases and the hole in the ozone Layer which is causeing many types of skin cancer world wide esp. downunder rates are skyrocketing. I heard this am. frost in Florida overnight temp dropped 50 degrees, the poor oranges might freeze.

This topic is very interesting. I always feel bad when wild animals are afraid of me, since they have no reason to be.

I wish I had a good way to try this out myself .. here in the desert hiking nude is kinda iffy, between the catclaw and the cholla and the prickly pear. Maybe next summer I can try it in the forest.

I'm not, however, gonna try it with any of our crawling critters ...

Since my post in February, I have had opportunity to do a lot of hiking up in the crown land that surrounds our home. My wife and I have had the pleasure of seeing countless deer, several bears and hawks and eagles. I attribute most of this to being naked while hiking. When I am out hunting I rarely see game. It was too cold this year to experiment with hunting sans clothes.

I quite agree, walking (hiking) au naturelle in the countryside gives more opportunities to see (and meet) wildlife. On my various walks I have seen (and met) such varied animals as deer, eagle owls and other hawks, foxes (who just looked at me in disgust before moving on) and mongeese, one of which just idled past me with no problem . I am ignoring the snakes which I tended to avoid hedgehogs and other assorted reptiles.
