I not "new" to nedism. Let me just say I have ALWAYS LOVED being in the buff, sence I was born. The first time I took my cloths off and went skinny dipping was about six months ago. That wasn't around any one. It was just off the the trail by the barn were I keep my horse. I LOVED it!! The secount time was at Kiva a spa place were you can be in the nude with men and women. There are privet spas there too. I was really nervise because I had never been naked in frount of any one before. But I found out I REALLY, REALLY loved it! I felt at peace with my self and like I cared about my self for the first time ever. The problem is.... My parents. See my mum found out about the first time back six months ago from my wicked theripist (I fired her!). My mum furbid me to ever do it again! Then about three and a half months ago I moved away from home-into social rehab (because I'm disabled). Fanily I wasn't under my parent's wing and rule. I can watch PG-13 movie and R movies, and best of all I can go be nude... when I have the money. Unfortunetly my mum found out about the little nude thing and went CRAZY! She says I'm a sinner (We're Basptist-Christians), hinted I was a sexaholic (I'm not even interested! Hello!), and the presumed I was a homeosexual! Not like that would be bad, but I thought she knew me better! THANK GOD she didn't tell my dad or he would cast me out of the family and never speak to me again! If ever on the subject, she is like "how could you"? And "your a Christian. People like us doen't do things like that!" , "Your a sinner" , "you make me want to cry", " If your father found out he would kill you!" Etc, on and on. It hurts! I used to HATE my self. I used to try to kill my self. Nudesm has tought me to love my body and I care about my self now. I WANT to live now, evept when my mum says all that horrible stuff. I try and talk to her, and explane it's not bad but no luck. Can any one help me? Thanks.

BareBackOnMyHorse,

About all I can say is that you had the wrong therapist. He/she should know about patient/therapist confidentiality. Very unprofessional of him, talking about you. Good choice firing that one.

Your parents are suffering from the same misconceptions a lot, if not most, people are. Look at this site. Sex isn't the issue here. Nudity doesn't lead to sex. Sex can lead to nudity.

Your mother is not displaying a very loving attitude towards you. Don't let others get you down or make you think less of yourself. Whoever you are, you are a wonderful, special, unique person. Love yourself and live!

Be discreet and go on enjoying yourself. Being nude from time to time does not make you a sinner. Being human does. Don't let people tell you that you are a sinner for enjoying a skinny dip. If anything, they are sinning by telling you something the Bible doesn't say. That’s misusing the Bible to lie. You're a Christian. Let the Bible be your guide. And that guide doesn't prohibit nudity.

Ever consider changing religions? Probally not, but us pagan folk rarely have issues with such things. If nudism prevents you from killing or hurting yourself do anything you have to do to continue the life-style. Good luck.

Hi Barebackonmyhorse, or can I call you bareback for short

All I can say is, your parents have got it wrong, there are priests, preachers, chaplains and pastors a plenty who enjoy social nudism with the full blessing of their god, after all, he created us and delivered us to the world naked. There is at least one Christian religion that does full submersion baptism in the nude, there is a religious sect in India whose monks live nude, and lets not forget the Hindu festival of Makar Sankrant where bathing in the Ganges takes place, with many of the followers being naked without shame.

Nudity appears to do the same for you as it does for many of us here, it brings you spirituality that being in a church cannot, we feel closer to divinity when naked with the sun and air caressing our bodies, it feels as though that's what god intended.

There are a number of nudist Christian groups, if you do an internet search I'm sure you'll find one, it will provide you with the information and wise words to support your continued nudism. Anything that makes YOU feel good inside isn't a bad thing, religion isn't about suffering, Jesus suffered so the WE don't have to suffer.

Enjoy life.

All I can say is I have great sympathy for you. I'm sure my parents are going to find out eventually about my nudist activities and then there will be hell to pay. My parents are very conservative Southern Baptists and my dad is the pastor of our church. What scares me most is that if they find out I might be forbidden to serve in the church, doing music or helping with the college and career class, etc. You see I share my parents' religion. I will proudly say that I am a Christian and it is very important to me, so you won't catch me going back on it. I simply take a different view of the subject of nudity. I love my church and would rather not be subject to discipline for a "sin" I refuse to repent of.

BareBackOnMyHorse,

Don't blame any problems on Christianity. If there is blame to be had, it's your parents, who abuse Christianity, who should be in the hot seat, answering questions for their abuse of Christian teachings. Your parents' abuse of the Bible says more about them than it says about you. Your parents are trying to use the Bible as a crutch to support their own misundertandings. If they were thinkers, they would see things quite differently.

Just be your sweet self and enjoy nudity in a truly Chrisitan way. Being asked to be different from that is simply not Christian. Your parents seem to be casting their shadow over you, but that is common for many parents out there. They should be sharing the light with you. Hold closely to your true teachings within Christianity, and enjoy your life in His loving light.

Bareback, do your parents know there is a new testament?God, according to the new testament, is not such a harsh force. I am a methodist Christian. My family (especially my mom) believes that all people have the right to do what they believe in as long as it doesn't hurt others. Though they may say so, nudism will not hurt them. If they can't love you for who you choose to be, your parents aren't the ones you should listen to. If you feel differently, then I don't want to force my beliefs on to you. Your beliefs and feelings are the ones that matter. Trying to convince your parents of your beliefs can take time and commitment.

I was raised in a fairly conservative Church and when I became a nudist I looked up all of the scripture verses that mention nakedness. Nowhere in the Bible is nudity or nakedness condemned. When we are told to feed our neighbor when he is hungry and clothe him when he is naked, it's not saying that either one is a sin. If you were to get into a debate about nudity with a radical fundamentalist, he would cite a few "catch-all" verses that can be used to condemn anything.
