Orient beach at Club O is without a doubt the most popular, but expand your travels going to other beaches that allow nudity.

My wife and I tried Cupecoy, Baie Rouge and Happy Bay. Orient is definitley the best. Cupecoy had 3 small beaches that didn't allow for much privacy. We set up there and a wave came in a killed my cell phone. On the last day in St Maarten we stopped at Cupecoy for one last time and the far beach had been completely denuded of sand. All that was left was rock.

Baie Rouge is nice but the rocks on the shoreline make it difficult to get in swimming. It was also a bit uncomfortable strolling the beach nude as it is not a "nude" beach. We were warned by the locals it wasn't acceptable. Very quiet though.

Happy bay was about 20/80 nude/textile. I again felt uncomfortable walking the beach nude. I was fine going from my spot on the beach to the water, but walking from one end to the other made me feel like an exhibitionist. My wife didn't like the textile lookie lous either.

Orient was great. There are so many Nudists that it is easy to get lost amoung the masses. Walking the beach was perfectly acceptable and swimming was much more enjoyable that any of the other beaches because of the reef a ways out that breaks the surf from coming into the beach.

Club O has a nice restaurant with good food, nice servers, washrooms and they even let you hide out there in bad weather.

What I've gotten so far tends to fall into one of two categories. (1) You won't spend any time in the room anyway, so go for something less expensive like a Studio. People in the Studio section are more friendly and sociable. OR (2) Spend the extra money for a Chalet on the beach. They're a lot bigger, closer to the beach, and more private. Both points of view are appealing, and I'm having trouble making up my mind. What say the Club O veterans?

We have done both, but eventually settled on a studio. You make both arguments very well, so there is not need for me to rehearse. The lower cost per night means we can spend longer there.
This year (2009), I hear there is going to be a bang-up Haloween party. You might want to move your visit later by a week or two.

Actually ... Halloween happens to be my birthday. I've spent it at nude venues a few times, and it struck me as a little pointless to go to a nude resort only to have to put on a costume. This year, as has become my custom, I'll spend it cowering in the basement hiding from the trick-or-treaters.

New question: What are people's favorite restaurants in Grand Case?

My husband and I have been to Club Orient twice. It is one of our favorite places anywhere. The beach is great, waking up nude and watching french foreign legion soldiers parade by as I sip my coffee nude outside my chalet, people from all over the world, naked and loving it. The island of St Martin is great... fun to rent a car and explore. Great people all around. Have a great time!
