Hi, I have been looking around in this site and in Google, but was not able to come with one solid answer as to where a couple can have mid-week fun in the sun in the Las Vegas area on the first week of May.
Your help is much appreciated

Nevada Sun Rancho is in Jean, NV - not far. http://www.sunrancho.com/
There are also two nonlanded clubs there: NorthWest Nudes of Las Vegas,702/658-9444, actionnude@aol.com
Las Vegas Bares, PO Box 231118,Las Vegas,NV 89123, 702/492-9921http://www.lasvegasbares.com/
All three are affiliated with AANR. Regards, Cheri

I understand there is an area on Lake Mead. check the Lasvegasbares site. I go to Vegas 3-4 times a year. I don't usually rent a car.

I don't know if it's still there, but I 2 years ago I read of a Bed & Breakfast called "Our House". They had shuttle service to and from the airport and The Strip.

Thanks for the update StuffedTiger. That's too bad, after several years of trying I've finally got a trip to Vegas planned and that's were I wanted to stay! Fortunately, with this thread I can start to find the open places.

It is my understanding that Nevada Sun Rancho (NSR) no longer exists. Gloria Massey, the clubs owner and founder passed away last year, and her heirs have decided not to continue the club. There were a host of problems out there, and I wouldn't have advised taking the trip anyway. The club wasn't in Jean, it was in the far north west corner of Sandy Valley.
There are some alternatives for nudity in the Vegas Valley though. Lake Mead has lots of opportunities, even more so if you own (or rent) a boat. There are fantastic traditionally CO hot springs just south of that damn dam. Also there are 2 groups in town. The Las Vegas Bares, and another informal group of friends (actually NSR refugees :-) )who have regular house parties. We call ourselves "The Full Moon Posse". We're not affiliated with any organization, and want to keep it that way for reasons that don't need to be discussed here. (No, we're not "that" type of group.)

I'm sorry to hear that Gloria Massey passed away last year. I wonder why it wasn't in the AANR Bulletin? After her husband Jack passed away, Gloria and her daughter, Shirley, always attended every WSA (Now AANR West) convention. Las Vegas could use a landed club, but the zoning and code problems at Sandy Valley were monumental problems for LVSC.

Yes Bob, the county problems were monumental. Having said that, had a certain trusted friend of the Masseys' been more cooperative with the county, their problems could have been averted. If you're as familiar with the club as I think, you know of who I speak.

I just received my copy of N magazine. The article on Lake Meade is VERY accurate. I was out there August 4,2007. While I too found where the beach USED to be. I wasn't about to take a car down to where it is now. My son-in-law would love the terrain (he's a Jeep nut).
Bob Have a nice NUDE day !!

I know what you mean about the beach changing. I've been on several nude houseboat trips on Lake Mead,(one of them with Las Vegas Sun Club) and the shoreline changes drastically from year to year as the water level changes. Often a great beach we remembered from one year couldn't be found the next year.

if it makes anyone feel better (it does me)the water level is up a lot. sure it's not anything like before but ever since i started going to 8 mile cove the water level had gone down a lot and this is just within the last year. i went out there a month ago and was happy to see the water at the level it was at. a friend of mine was there last weekend and he said the water was up about 12 feet and this was before they released the water at lake powell. i'm so looking forward to my first soak this year.

Hi Johnny .. My husband and I would really like to visit 8 Mile at Lake Mead. I've sent you a PM with some questions about directions and such.
