Just wondering if anyone could recommend a really nice nudist resort in Ontario. A place that has nice rooms, restaurant and pool. We are new to this, so we want our first visit to a nudist resort , a pleasurable one. So ant first hand info would really be appreciated

I've had friends and acquaintances visit: Four Seasons in Frelton, New Forest in Sharon, and Ponderosa in Puslinch, all are AANR affiliated. Go to http://www.aanr.com/stateclubs/aanr-on.html and see what each has to offer. Cheri

For those that don't know where Puslinch and Freelton are, because they are tiny hamlets. They are in Hamilton. Go north on Highway 6 towards Guelph and the 401

Cheri That link that you posted was great. The only problem is, they all sound wonderful. All three have great websites. Just for you information, New Forest is now Bare Oaks. We live about two hours away from all three, so distance isn’t an issue. Does anyone out there have any first hand experiences with any of the three? Four Season does sound more like a resort.

Hi go n nude That’s what we were hoping to hear. The photos on the website are great and make you really want to go there and the facilities look very impressive. Just wondering about the dress code there, is it nude all the time everywhere, or are there times (or at certain facilities) where it’s clothing optional? As we said, we are new to this, but have been wanting to try this for years.

Hello ridoos,Most members and residents are nudists and enjoy their lifestyle when weather permits, of course everyone makes up their own mind to leave their cares with their clothes.Dances are generally causual clothing in the clubhouse at night on weekends, Nudism is expected when practical, when one is comfortable too.

Hamilton ON area: You may not be able to meet your single male friend at 4 Season's. The place tends to be discriminating, independent of skin color. Ponderosa nearby has become a place where long standing visitors are being attacked physically by a specific employee (when he'd liquored enough) and the _attacker_ is being supported by the resort owner (just one example). P. used to be a nice place years ago.
============================================================= Discrimination of single men seems to offer the greatest fun to non-singles. It is not single womens' doing. =============================================================

I realize this is an old posting but for anyone new looking for information, I am a member at the Ponderosa Resort. You will find the people friendly and accepting of newbies and singles. (male & female). This is a family park though I don't think there is much for children to do other than swim. The rooms are small but very clean and the rates are reasonable....or bring a tent/trailer and stay awhile.

Some may get the wrong ideas totally from their view point, thats one not sober and a vary narrow side of many, at this 5 star resort of many families, to go to the bar where the best ambassadors meet Alch olic, they 'll alsway give the media one good istory after another and cudos to boot. They got some of the many different faces, i am sure they,re one of the best resorts in Canada and judge for your self. Its not perpect is there one?

We totally agree with the thread that dave00 sent in. Their description of the rooms were very accurate . The only thing we could add was that every screen in the place was ripped and the room was full of flies . Hard to sleep with flies buzzing around your head all night. The place was worn out and needs to be renovated. We were suppose to stay two nights, but couldn’t handel the thought of a second night. We paid for the second night but left and came home early. Next time we’ll try the Ponderosa

Sorry ridoos i had no idea things were getting as bad as you witnessed, a rumor floating around and even talks about new ownership, have surfaced, hopefully it remains open and does improve greatly,i 've camped there and the bugs at night will eat one alive too. The owners are retired.

My wife and I visited the Four Seasons a couple of years ago for a day. We found the place to be somewhat run-down and shabby. I didn't see any drunkenness or rowdy behavior but there was nothing there to compel me to return any time soon.
Calling the place five star is misleading. There are some nice facilities - the indoor and outdoor pools, for example. But the place isn't well-maintained. It's a pity that it isn't better managed.

My opinion (in my humble opinion) i rate 5 stars to the Four Seasons ,based on the my comparison to clubs/resorts in this area and from visits or attempts to visit others, i know why many have choosen to live there and 1000's members are proud of to be. The list is endless for what one (they dont discriminate) can do year round with some bugs good and bad. It might not be perfect some may agree, to others its the Greatest resort in their opinion anyway, could be misleading and to some, not what they come to expect at nudist resorts in SWONT .
