Well...my wife just nearly joined the "club" yesterday.
She was sitting in her recliner, nude, reading a book. She suddenly starts looking for her phone and realizes she's left it on the balcony where she was hanging out with a friend (non-nudist) earlier. Now we live in the city and our balcony faces the street. And I watch her not only walk out to the balcony naked; but then start reading a text. I said "Hey...you're naked outside!" And my wife does what she usually does in those situations: pretend she doesn't care lol! But it was clear she had momentarily forgotten she was naked when she walked out to the balcony. I'm not sure anyone saw her; but it's hard to believe no one did.
Most home-nudists are familiar with those types of situation. You're naked at home, comfortable: and then the doorbell rings, or you remember you forgot to check the mail, or you need to run out to your car; and you head out into "the world" forgetfully naked. In many cases; no one is going to care. I guess that's what my wife figured when she realized she was briefly standing out on the balcony naked. And I've got to give her "props" for that!

Not sure if this fits, but, Friday I was in the yard, nude, on my compact tractor spreading fertilizer down. The Fedex truck came up the drive way and we waved at each other. He drove around the back of the house to drop off the package he had for us. He waved again as he was leaving.

I think any of us that live naked daily or at least most of the time, can attest to doing what you speak of. Living nude can become so normal and putting on clothes can become foreign.
When I used to park one of my vehicles on the curb or on the driveway, I'd catch myself on my phone and opening the front door to head out and get something... usually my wallet. I'd either be standing at the front door or a step or two out on the front porch. We live in a tract home so is it weren't for tolerant/accepting neighbors, I'm sure I'd have had a visit from the cops many times in the last 40+ years!
Good for you wife joining the club. It's great that she's getting more comfortable with simple nudity.

We live on the top (10th) floor of our apartment building. From our south-facing glass-fronted balcony and 'sun-room' to the opposite building is about 290 feet. I walk around nude in the morning, opening the curtains and so on; the rest of the day is usually spent clothed  . In 14 years we have heard no complaints, even though the sun does illuminate the interior some days. Possibly people can't see in, but more likely, the reflections from the glass mask visibility   , or more likely: people don't care. Of course, if someone did complain, I would complain about a Peeping Tom or Tomasina)

The other day I was out working in my garage, with the door open. I took some garbage out to the cans, which are on the side of the garage. As I was walking back in, a car drove by and started honking their horn at me. I guess they saw me walking around naked.

Was almost caught on Wednesday. It was a rare, sunny somewhat warm day here. We were cleaning out one room in our house to get ready to paint and I was taking items to my truck to take to Goodwill and the town recycling center (electronics). I had just taken stuff to the truck when I could see a car turning onto my street. In the summer I can’t see them, due to the trees, but I can hear them. Usually I don’t mind if a car is going by as they are usually going around 40 mph and not paying attention up my driveway. But for some reason I got suspicious with this one and I hurried up into my garage. I got up my stairs and out of view and looked out to see that it was a State Trooper.

Here is my almost story. Last fall, on a rather warm Saturday, I was working in my wood shop (nude of course), doing some cleaning. My shop-vac is rather loud, so I always wear headphones when using it. I'm cleaning away, when I turn and see my wife standing there. I shut-off the vac and she says, "Pastor is here". Apparently our Pastor had arrived to do some hunting, which he does periodically, and he had already walked back to the woods. I began to wonder if maybe he had walked up to my shop to speak with me, noticed I was nude, and quickly headed to the woods. I checked our security surveillance system, and he had not. As time has past, I almost wished he would have. I think it would have forced a conversation between us, that I could share my love for naturism, and how it has helped me grow spiritually.

That could have been a good conversation.
I got caught by my step son last week. It reached 66 degrees one day, so I went outside on the side of the garage and laid out in the sun for over an hour. The sun had moved and shade was taking over so I decided to get up. I put the comforter I was laying on back in the garage and decided to get a bit more sun, so I walked out to my truck. Well he happened to come outside to look for a package that had been delivered and he was walking directly toward me when I appeared from the side of the garage.

Being nude at home can be interesting some times. It had snowed here and I had plowed out one of the neighbors places. I was home nude in the kitchen, when there was a knock on the door. It was the neighbors mother who came over to pay for the plowing. Standing at the door looking through the window, she watched me walk over to where my shorts were and put them on. I then invited her in and we talked for about 30 minutes. My wife just gave the 'look' that I get when she does not approve of me being nude. The neighbor was cool about the whole event! She said it was no big deal for her!!

well half nude - bottomless with my t shirt on the other week i took the garbage out late maybe 10 pm and went to get the mail , i have a neighbor that must live in his garage and anytime the garage door is open daytime or nighttime he or family is out there so i always check. needless to say this night i so them arrive home and go in the house but the garage door was still open but figured they were inside and walked to the mailbox and no sooner that i got up there the headlights in their suv came on Lol caught yeah they saw my butt big deal and being a nudist i turned for a full view and headed back down the driveway the lights in the suv went off and the door opened. i use to go out front and to mailbox nude but the neighborhood has changed seems people up later .

I was almost caught a few days ago. My girlfriend took the two youngest with her and told me she’d text me when they were on her way home. The oldest was at the beach with his girlfriend and some others. I was on the back side of the house working on my lawnmower and pressure washer. I walked to the side garage door to go grab a tool when I noticed his girlfriends car in the driveway. They had just gotten home. I walked back to the back and thankfully the door to my bedroom from the deck was open, so I just went in and grabbed a pair of shorts.

We've tried to alert everyone we know or that visits the house that we are nudists. Our girls, sons in law and grandkids all know as do our lawn guy, pool gal, bug guy. They all know to shot us a text to let us know they are on their way so we don't accidently expose them to our nudity. Our girls said, "it doesn't bother me (us) if we see you naked. We spent many years being nudists together." Still, we don't want them to feel uncomfortable. The grandkids know but would rather not visit with Papa and Granma while we're naked.
Lawn guy, pest guy and previous pool techs have seen me/us naked. A couple of them came on a off day and it was their fault. When both of these guys, on separate occasions acted like 10 y.o. girls, I promptly fired them and got a new person. Currently, we have a pool gal. Just from talking with her about our nudist life, she's been very, very accepting. Recently, she was working on the pool equipment and went out to get a tutorial on a couple of things. She said, "nice day to lay on a float in the pool and work on the all over tan!" She's fairly new to servicing our pool. When we get to know each other better and if the subject comes up, I will give her the option to clean the pool as she wishes!! Not sure the Prof will go for it though. hahahahaha
We remind everyone that we are almost always naked at home. If they are going to be bothered or uncomfortable with that, they need to let us know they are coming... before the reach the front door. If they don't, they're taking a chance!

It happens to all of us! Yesterday I was working in the garden nude, when the roofing contractor drove up the drive way. No hiding here!! I went to my shop and got a pair of shorts I have there. No one said any thing and they proceeded to work on the roof.

Well about a week and a half ago, s*** hit the fan a little bit. The 2 youngest were in school, the oldest was at work. My girlfriend was at work. I was working naked in the garage and walking outside when I needed to. The neighbors across the street were on vacation, so I didn’t have to worry about them seeing me. Well my girlfriend’s daughter left school early because she was done with her exams and her friends mom picked her up. I put my shorts on but then found out she went to her friends house, she wasn’t coming home. So I took the shorts off. Unfortunately the mother took them somewhere and drove right past the house. Needless to say her daughter flipped out about it. She was telling me she won’t “allow” me to walk around the house naked even if nobody is home, how I’m a scumbag for doing it, etc. It got nasty. Of course it’s not going to stop me. I don’t do it when they are around. So telling them to call first is ouf of the question because all of the kids think it’s gross that I like to be naked and wouldn’t call ahead anyhow.

These boards have been dead lately.
I guess you can say I was caught today. I was working on my Harley, naked, in the garage. We had 2 cars parked in front of the garage, plus I maneuvered my truck to block the view, and I even moved a box over to obstruct the view when I was on the ground. I actually took many precautions, unlike usual. Didn’t think anything of it. Later on, I ran to the store and while I was gone, my girlfriend texted me. She said her son told her a Sheriff’s deputy showed up saying he received a call about a 45 year old male walking around naked. Weird thing was. I actually wasn’t walking around naked like I usually do. I pretty much stayed in the garage with the exception of stepping out and just to the side of the garage to throw out some trash or recycling. And this was 3-4 hours after I was out there. Stepson told him he was the only one home and that he just got home from school not long before that and the deputy left.
