I was home from work today with a temperature of 102 and pretty much nude for the entire day. A happy me, for the most part, as I rarely get a nude day these days with my roommate around. Anyway, I was sitting on my bed reading a book when I looked down on my leg and noticed a thing on it. It took me a minute to figure out what it was, but it looks like it's probably ringworm so I immediately started treatment (ringworm goes around my school so much that I have ringworm treatment at home.) But here's the thing: I don't think I would have found the ringworm if I weren't a nudist because I never would have looked there. It wasn't in an obvious spot that I would have noticed unless I just happened to be nude and sitting just so. All in all, being nude helps me to catch bodily cues and symptoms more quickly. Just one more reason to be a nudist, as far as I'm concerned. I've heard others say that being a nudist is good for your health, but today I can see why.

The Prof has, recently, paid the price for long term exposure to the sun. She's fair skinned and always tanned quite nicely but the downside was several skin cancers removed in the past two years.
Being nude all the time has helped us find some spots on her that we may not have found otherwise. One thing it does for me is that I see myself in the mirror quite regularly and tend to see when I need to cut back on how much and what I've been eating. I've been able to maintain this weight but still need to lose a few dozen lbs. for health reasons. My BP is up a little and the extra lbs doesn't do my bad back any favors either.
For both of us, being nudists is such stress relief that I think that, in it's self, is good for our health too.

The examples given so far are very practical and very good. But I think there's also a more subtle aspect to nudism's health benefit. Even though humans have worn clothes for thousands of years now, that span represents only a tiny fraction of our species existence. And so I think being nude is still literally very natural to our bodies at a fundamental level. And I think most of us nudists are nudists because we can feel this. Like most here, I feel tangibly better (not just physically, but spiritually and emotionally) when I'm uncovered. In addition to being more natural, maybe there's another factor to why being naked feels more healthy. Some believe our bodies have an energy field surrounding them, and that external forces can affect that energy field and, as a consequence, the way we feel. If this is true, I wonder if part of the reason for feeling holistically better when nude is that our energy field is free of foreign objects (clothes). Who knows? Whatever the reason, I believe the body delivers a clear message to those who will listen that being uncovered is a healthier way to be.

I totally agree with and believe that Nudism is good for Mind, Body and Soul as many have also found this fact and enjoy its benefits. I also tell many well dressed people they'd look better nude and most think I'm kidding, especially females. Your best suit is your birthday suit. Enjoy Life Naturally[:)

There is an interesting article under "Extra Menu" then to “Resources” in this web-site about an "Air Bath" that is worth reading

I'm not sure if this reply falls better under this topic or "Celebrities in support of nudism", but I heard something once. I can't find the source, but I remember hearing that Uma Thurman, while preparing for roles, will eat only while nude. It helps her to make better choices in what and how much to eat. In other words, she feels better connected to her body while making choices that affect it.
