Hi guys. It's me again. I am relatively new to nudism, but have been barefoot nearly my whole entire life, and hate wearing shoes. I was wondering if people who like being nude like being barefoot like me, or vice versa.

There are those who prefer to be barefoot and those who prefer to wear shoes. Living in SC, we have a pesky critter called a fire ant. Even though I put out poison for them, there are still some around. I will not go barefoot on rocks, hard surfaces, etc. I enjoy comfort, that's one reason I'm a nudist.

Could be something to this, I have never liked shoes or clothes either. My wife said, as a child she never wore shoes, even as an adult she never wore them any more than she had to. She also said, as a child she would run around, even out side, in only her panties.

If it weren't for rocks, nails, broken glass, cold concrete or hot asphalt.........I'd be barefoot all the time. I compromise with wearing flip flops as much as possible.
I wear tennis shoes and dress shoes only when I have to.

I'm a tenderfoot I guess but I've never been comfortable barefoot. I've tried wearing flip flops and wished I could but within 3 or 4 steps I walk out of 'em. I usually wear tennis shoes when I'm nude unless I'm setting. I've thought before that it looks pretty stupid to be nude with tennis shoes but I'm just not comfortable barefoot.

I'm with Dave. How in the world does anyone learn to walk in flip-flops. My kids can run in them. It takes too much effort for me and they are no at all comfortablle in the first place. Barefoot around the pool. Shoes everywhere else. It doesn't look as stupid as being nude and hopping abound on one foot while trying to get a sand burr out of your foot.

Live barefoot in the house all the time, except when clothed with visitors. Almost always totally nude otherwise.
In our very private yard on an acreage, nude when weather permits. Barefoot on block/brick pathways, around hot tub area and pool. Occasionally the lawn, except when cutting it (always nude but foot protection).
Otherwise, wear thongs/flip-flops or less often, leather sandals. These give comfort but also in my view, look okay when naked. Keep a pair by every door except the front. Easy to put on before going out, even in the winter to the hot tub. Clear snow from the 30' path to the tub naked except for the thongs. Rather exhilarating. Definitely ready to submerge after that.
What looks odd, even humorous, is when I wear rubber or work boots for certain yard jobs, and nothing else. Darn, sometimes I even have to slip on clothes for protection and/or comfort. 'Tis a shame, but reality.........

Barefoot inside the house and I would be outside too if it were not for this plant thing called a "goathead" which is a sort of small, rather sharp thorn thing that is almost impossible to sea until you step on it. Its a southwest thing I think.

Barefoot every moment I can be.
I hate wearing shoes, or sneakers, and even flip flops.

These feet were made for walking. I can stand a fair amount of heat, and I've been known to be barefoot in the snow. Terrain is a different story. I wouldn't want to walk on sharp rocks or sticks. I used to have a job where I could walk around the office barefoot. I'm not used to being nude outside, but I think I'd feel weird in shoes (unless I was hiking). Sandals would definitely be the way to go for me.

In the summer I am either wearing sandles or bare foot. Why sandles - well there are a lot of small thorns around which makes it hard to walk unless I stay on a paved path - and then it is too hot too walk on it! Unfortunately at work I have to wear closed shoes/boots. When I go out for a hike in the summer months it is just with sandles, a hat and sunglasses (all the rest is superfluous)

I prefer being barefooted and usually am indoors. Outdoors there are too many hazards so I wear sandals when away from the pool/club house area and boots when hiking cross country. Many times I've donned clothes because of dense ground growth.
Best Wishes, Jim

Something just occurred to me. I may take some time in removing my clothes when I come home, but the shoes always have to go immediately. I have two pairs of shoes, and they never make it past their spot next to the door. I grew up in Japan, where it's customary to remove your shoes upon entering a home. I wonder if it has anything to do with that, or if I actually just hate wearing shoes?
