A serious answer:
Any girl/woman/lady who is old enuf to be involved in this type of question should be mature enuf to face the reality of how men are designed, and the way that this process proceeds.
DID YOU THINK OF ASKING HOW SHE WOULD HANDLE THE QUESTION? (No pun originally intended, but it is approriate.) There are normal, satisfactory, ways to deal with it.

I tend to agree with balataf. When I was that age, I could get an erection from a breeze. It isn't necessarily sexual, just a response to sensations/thoughts. Certainly, cuddling with your girlfriend on the couch is a sensual experience. Your erection will pass, eventually, and is perfectly normal.

I don't understand why people get so hung up on whether someone has an erection or not. We're nudists/naturists! A penis occasionally gets erect. It's not like we're running around bludgeoning people with it!

Haha@NaturistDoc.

I was attempting to be serious. I sometimes get an erection with pants on. The fact that people can't see it doesn't mean it's not there. If I remove my pants, people can see it, and that's part of what naturism means to me. It's stripping off that last layer of 'armor' and being honest. It's hard to hide your faults, naked.

I reckon if you are sitting there naked with your girlfriend at 18 on the couch watching a movie, sitting up close and you don't get an erection there'd be something wrong.
Man, it's natural get over it. You've worked out the solution. The comments by your folks are correct. Consider yourself lucky being raised in a nudist house-hold and environment, can't imagine that as it is so far from a strict Catholic upbringing it's not funny.

It feels more awkward at the beach the first time, it tends to happen when you are younger I think. Maybe I'm used to being nude at the beach and in front of others but it doesn't happen much now and when it does I roll over on the towel. Maybe being over 50 reduces the frequency but it still works when I want it to. Cheers, SBN.

This resurrected thread was initially posted in 2008. Which means the OP is now 27.

Either he has experienced nudism by now and has figured out that erections are not really a "thing" when socially nude. Or he never even tried it!

But yeah...when I got off the couch and became a social nudist myself I quickly realized that when socially nude, "spontaneous erections" rather rarely occurred. And when they did it was a rather easy "situation" to resolve.

I've never really bought into the idea that the brains of your big head and small head were not linked and that the small head had involuntary reactions.

I wonder what the good Doctor has to say about this and can shed some light on this phenomenon.

Loves being naked. Plays well with others!

Me neither. I find the suggestion sexist and insulting.

Naked is green.

Agreed, don't reckon it really happens that much without some assistance.
There is too much crap on these sites about this topic, its just plain boring.
