Hi there everyone,
We are avid nudists and adventure seekers. We love all the nude resorts and freedom that Florida has to offer. We venture to EDUN LAKE in NAPLES about a 1/2 dozen times a year. Has anyone heard about the NEW TERRA SOL LUXURY NUDIST RESORT that is supposed to be opening soon? We heard it was going to have HOT TUBS, TENNIS COURTS, LARGE SWIMMING POOLS a FIVE STAR RESTAURANT in addition to a "HAPPENING" NITE CLUB with LIVE BANDS AND DJs? We are looking very forward to any information to this place and the status?

 The Resort opening up on the South West Florida is called the Terra Sol. It's supposed to be opening up this year. Does anybody have any relevant true information to pass. If it is what it says it is, it's going to be a great hub for all like-minded couples/people to meet beacause of it's centrall location in the State of Florida!

TerraSol seemed to have had some trouble finding enough investor/owners to get things going, but as of last month they are again soliciting pre-construction buyers, and have apparently sold some lots and residences. Their website is www.terrasolresorts.com if you're interested. They plan on opening sometime this coming Fall.

The site says they will have nude golf. Almost makes me want to try it (golf) sometime.

Greetings from Terra Sol. I would be happy to explain any/all information regarding this new resort. I appreciate the recent activity and want to be sure to communicate what Terra Sol is trying to achieve. We're not exactly a "Happening" night club. While we have the local flavor of Desoto County Florida, we have square dancing, great restaurants, 18 holes of nude golf, tennis, and most of the other activities you would expect. Terra Sol is unlike any other resort. We are not a "swing lifestyle" resort and tailor our amenities to family oriented activities. Please let me know what else I can tell you. I hope to meet you soon at Terra Sol.

If only this were five years ago. These are tough economic times to get something of this scale developed and I wish them the best.
Although this thread mentions Naples the actual location is in Arcadia, Florida, roughly 50 miles east of Sarasota. I noticed the Terra Sol sales office is in Naples which is an extremely upscale city 90 miles to the south and home to many affluent snowbirds. This is probably smart on the developer's part.
For a moment I was left wondering if someone was going to tear down Jungle Larry's old zoo in Naples and replace it with a nudist resort.

Hi All.. I live in the area where Tera Sol is to be built. Just about 1 month ago May 7, 2009, wife and I took a ride over to where the resort is to be built, in Arcadia.
It appears that it has "not" even broke ground yet. I don't know what the plan is, the website has been taken down, and is currently under construction.
Since I read the papers every day, last year there was a firestorm in the "Letters to the Editor" section. Mostly from the religious right, ministers, and a few locals. The were not happy. Too bad, it's a great location, and would do very well in SW Florida. Been nudist's for over 30 years, and I know we would love it in our backyard.

I hope they can make a go of it. I visit the Arcadia area a few times a year because my Mom lives there.
I like the idea of nude golf.

What - -Tom wrote a year or so ago is even more true today. People are cutting back on vacations, and all sorts of resorts and developments are in trouble. No doubt the Hiltons and Sheratons and Hyatts of the world (and maybe the - -s) will survive the tough times, but a lot of smaller resorts may not. I'm not much of one for rally-the-troops speeches, but it seems to me that in bad times you find out who your friends really are. I would encourage Forum members to think about where you spend your leisure dollar. If you don't support your local nudist resort this year, it may not be there next year.

I know a great deal about the "infamous" Terra Sol resort. The project is 99% ready to do however funding fell apart with the original group and now funding is needed - at least initial funding. I personally could make the entire project become a reality if I could find the right individual or individuals to assist in the financial side of the deal. There is a tremendous financial opportunity with this project. If there is anyone who could help or lead me to the right group for the funding, I can assure you that the most incredible clothing optional resort would become a reality here in Florida. The resort is truly designed to be one of the best anyone has ever visited.
