Travelites' Passover Seder welcomed members from around the Carolinas as well as Florida. There was soooo much food, and there were barely any leftovers. The service started with everyone taking a turn at reading the story of the Israelites' Exodus from Egypt.
The deep-fried turkey was yummy; thank you Allen for watching over it. Thank you Buddy for helping to carry the 16 lb. bird into the house. The homemade matzo ball/chicken soup, broccoli w/basil,the sweet potato casserole, the garlic'd potatoes, the salad and variety of dressings plus the homemade honey cake and Cherry Vanilla and Peach ice cream were enjoyed by everyone. Thank you Ann for the shank bone for the Seder plate and thank you to everyone for being there. Those in attendance received colorful aprons commemorating the event. We're contemplating a caravan to South FL where we have quite a few Travelites living for next year's Passover Seder. ===================
The next event is Saturday, April 26th - Pioneer Days with grilled hamburgers at our home. Please bring an accompaniment (tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, desserts). The event starts at 2:30 with an ice cream social at 3pm. =============== The following event is World Naked Gardening Day and the Mexican Fiesta on Saturday, May 3rd at our home at 2:30. We will again try to grow our own pumpkins. The battle with the pinata will begin right before dinner. Please bring a dish for the Mexican Theme potluck supper at @6:30. I'll be bringing a dozen tacos & fillings. This is the day that the club's auction officially begins. You can see updates at: http://pages.prodigy.net/travelites/_wsn/page7.html

Cheri,
Hag Sameah. You are lucky, we had so much food left over that there is enough for the whole week!

Cony, You should have joined us, and we would have had more food! I do have enough matzo ball soup for the week...I'm giving some of it away to friends at work. LOL.
Hugs, Cheri
