New to nudism as a middle aged adult male, my significant other and I are amazed at the material available through internet sources that purport to represent presumably true nudist adults.
Realizing that laws and standards differ internationally, we are even more dismayed about what appears in material available through sites such as [deleted re: photos of minors] - which seems to be naturist oriented. The emphasis on pictures of childhood nudity, with a preponderance of young girls, in advertising and readily available materials is extremely off putting.
I may be missing something, but such material should not be driving naturist interests. And also realizing that the internet is difficult, if not possible to control, legitimate naturist materials should not skirt legal boundaries. It is outside the social/moral responsibilities of naturists to provide potentially prurient images of our underage naturist family members. And it adds fuel to the arguments of those who would like to make nudism illegal where ever and when ever they can.

It looks like the term "naturist" is no longer trademarked in the US since April 1994 (search trademarks here). Perhaps NAC or somebody should look into registering "naturist" and "naturism" as trademarks. And then go after the misusers.
(sidenote: the trademark for "nudist" is currently owned by a hair care products company)

WM, the world wide web has been good for legit sites such as this one and Nudist venues world wide and unfortunately as you and i found out some purport to be true nudist and we know thats a front for money making (soft porn). The images of minors could put someone in the courts of justice, for i'd think they have no knowledge or parental consent, most likely illegally captured by deviate pedofiles for much same audience. In the US & Can, laws are in place makeing this child porn, could get one arrested for possessing, downloading and publishing images of minors male or female. Legit Nudist publications are aware of this and risk severe legal action. They must be very careful what they publish. To some nudism is Sexism unfortunately, sad to say indeed.

My overall point is that some very central web sites that deal with naturism and nudism feature pictures of underage children. These pictures are too readily accessible to random browsers. Legitimate information sites for naturism and nudism should be willing to police their sites so pedophiles have to work very hard to get access.

wm, good points you raised and i totally agree and i'm sure many here do too. I know of case now in the courts where an exploited minor, now an adult is suing one such site for millions of dollars and could haunt many others with this type of backfire or justice in the end, they are risking legal action or asking for trouble, the cost will be enormous, more than they will ever profit from, shutting them down like dominos is emminant or just around the corner.Children have rights and many are blind but will soon see or realize their crime in court or jail.
