Travelites' visit to Cedar Creek to celebrate America's independence this year was even more fun than in past years. About 20 told me they would be there. The hospitality shown Travelites was unsurpassed to date. There were duck races, water as well as sand volleyball plus enjoying the company of so many good friends in the shade as well as the sun. Several walked to the creek to enjoy the refreshing water on noodles and tubes.
The liquid sunshine that visited our neighboring nudist park was only a brief interlude in the day and didn't put a damper on anything.
Travelites' and Cedar Creek's kids (of all ages) had a fun shaving cream battle. It wasn't safe to be close by. A photo of the snow storm of lather has been submitted to the Bulletin.
The rain halted just as some went into the clubhouse for the scheduled Government Affairs Training. Those who attended were presented with small plush bears dressed up for this holiday. One attendee said she learned a couple of things. We now have more SC people aware of what needs to be watched for if we want to continue to enjoy our freedom from clothing in South Carolina.
The bodaceous pig pickin' was enjoyed by all. It was followed by a dance with a great band. Not sure how late everyone stayed, but it was still going strong when Allen and I departed for home.
We were told that a good number of Cedar Creek folk (some of whom were former Sunair people) will be attending the July 19th event at Sunair. That will be a Ham Radio Event at 2pm followed by our annual Luau at 3:30. We need to know no later than 7/15 if you will be attending so there is enough entree'. I also need to know what you'll be bringing to round off the meal.
Next weekend (7/11-13) will see us visiting Whispering Pines near Myrtle Beach in Ocean Isle Beach, NC, just over the SC/NC border. We'll be enjoying our annual canude trip on Saturday. If you have your own canoe or kayak, you are welcome to join in the fun.
Hugs, Cheri

Cheri,
Glad to hear you had a great Independence day. I hope to one day make it out there in time for the event.
