Texas House Bill HB-50 establishing a law against Nudist Youth Camps in Texas was heard before the Texas Public Health Committee on the 10th of this month.
NAC Chair and SWSA Gov't Affairs Chair Bob Morton and his son Robert, III spoke before the hearing opposing the bill. Also in attendance was SWSA Director Christine Morton, President Raye Sorensen and Vice President Kevin Owens ready to add support. Although the issue quickly became an issue of parent's rights over values for their youth and government intervention of these rights, additional testimony was not needed at this time. Even with some of the committee members vocally speaking in favor of the Bill and challenging Bob's and Robert's views, HB-50 was listed as pending and thus far has not made it out of committee for this special legislative session.
