I am new to nudism, at least outside my own home. I have a question for everyone. I like to be nude and as God made us, but I have an issue being around others when I'm nude. I always get an erection when someone sees me nude so I have never been to a nudist resort. I'm being totally serious, and I hope you don't think I'm being perverted. My question is, is that normal? Do any guys ever get one while they are nudist place? Should I not go to a place because of it? When I am home alone, it is not a problem.

I just did a search and found some mention of erections. I read how people do see erections and from what I've read, it is not a big deal. I saw where people spoke of bringing a towell to hide it but I just think I would have one the entire time, and not just for a moment. Am I supposed to hide it when I get one, or would that only be for MY own sake? Perhaps I would surprise myself and not be erect so much. Feel free to still comment if you have an opinion, though.

What's that supposed to mean? Since you are replying to me in the 3rd person, I take it means something negative. Thanks for commenting, albeit not to answer my question.

You know what they say - please don't feed the trolls. If it's a serious question there are plenty of other threads that cover this ad nauseum.

Okay, after searching I found a long thread about erections and I see people say there are too many threads about it. I registered and looked on this forum (general discussion) and didn't see anything so I posted a question. I posted before searching thoroughly, and for that I apologize.
You know, this might have been my first post here but I'm not a troll. I was legitimately looking for feedback and mistakenly thinking that nudists were open-minded I thought that it would have been okay to discuss. I guess not. But I do thank everyone for answering my question about going to a nudist resort - indirectly, from the couple of comments here, and directly from reading other posts. I should and will stay away. You guys can stay in your little clique and I'll leave you alone. But I wouldn't waste your time with any "where have all of the nudists gone?" and "why aren't more young people becoming nudists?" (And by the way, I am not all that young - I am 40, just have never lost my too easily erection occurrence.

big_jc, welcome to the forum.
Many of our members have made less than graceful entrances into our online community. If you stick around, you'll see from time to time a new guy that comes in with his first question about unwanted erections. This tees off our members, who time after time have to deal with the new guy who hasn't read and looked for his answer first. It happens many times a year. Most often this type of entrance turns out to be a troll.
Anyway, I'm sure you have other things to contribute. This is just how we deal with anyone suspected of posting questions just to stir things up. Read about Trolls, and Erections. We maintain a spirit of camaraderie here above all, and any in your face statements are reason for removal. You'll have to admit, the members are being gentle with you, just in case you're legit.

If it happens that much, you should put one of the erections thread right under the general discussions folder and tag it (or whatever it's called when it always stays at the top).
I found the folder on the subject, under male point of view (or something like that). As I'm reading through it, I see post after post about how people are tired of talking about it. My question to them is, why are you to the erection folder in the first place? If you are tired of discussing it, then don't read it.
Thanks for the last to comments.

Oh, they don't have to go to the folders! Those posts show up all over the place, and I move them there. The members are just helping me to monitor the forum, and discourage the trolls.
We all just heave a collective groan whenever another erection thread is started. Then I have to consider deleting the thread, or adding it to our unsavory little collection of erection threads, all the same topic, all day long.
Thanks for putting your mind to the problem. I'll be considering your suggestion.
[added]I need some member input. Here's the main index page. Would the membership be better served if the Mens and Womens sections were moved to just before Site News?[/added]

Oh, that makes sense then, if you move them to that folder. I just know what I did trying to find, and if it was right there that would have helped me, anyway.

It might help. As it is the Men's/Women's Issues topics are quite a ways down the list. I don't know if first timers are willing to scroll down that far. They see General Discussion and go for it.
Thinking . . . What if all the Erection questions were made a subcategory of the FAQ, then the FAQ was relocated to just under Testing? As it is, even the FAQ kinda blends in with everything else.
For myself and I suspect many others it will not make much of a difference. 99% of the time I come here I go directly to the Active Topics list.

OK, I take back my troll comment. A real troll wouldn't have any kind of conversation that makes sense. But really, the topic sounded pretty trollish.
