I've never partaken in the naturist lifestyle before but am thinking about doing so, which could get interesting considering how conservative my family is. Don't get me wrong, my folks are a great bunch too be around. However, based on their reaction to some different issues involving a close relative, at this time, I think it would go horribly wrong with them if I revealed my interest in naturism to them. The catch is that although I'm sort of living on my own, my parents provide my cell phone, which is the only phone I have. This means that all they have to do is take a look at the phone bill, and discover, "Oh my gosh! Our boy has thrown his life away and completely lost his purity! What will we do?!" So, to prevent this nasty scenario from happening, how should I get in touch with the local naturist camps around here? E-mail? Calling card?
Still kind of squeamish about what I'm getting into,

toll booth. you can e-mail. most nudist resorts have their own web page and you can get information that way. and dont be afraid. if this is something you really want to do, then DO IT. you will only regret it if you DONT try it. good luck and welcome.

The easiest thing to do to see what's near you is go to http://www.nudistparksusa.net and insert your zip code. Your phone bill lists numbers only and the city/state. It does not list the name of the organization. I don't think your parents are going to check each and every phone number on your bill.

Thanks for the info. Cheri, I took a look at a couple of the parks, and it seems like not all of them will accept singles. Oh well, there are enough around that do; I'll check them out. Also, are you SURE about the phone bill not listing the names of the organizations? calm, I'm kind of leaning both ways here. I know it will be relaxing, but the biggest worry I have is staring. I have received almost zero exposure to nudity during my life, and I'm wondering how I'm going to react to seeing it.

I'm sure than no phone bill lists the name of the number owner. Take a look at past bills if you can or call the phone service and ask them to be sure. I know that Alltel, Cingular, BellSouth, and Verizon do not list anything but the caller's number.
Just don't do anything that you have to apologize for; you'll do fine.

where are you going? If it's to a nudist park...how about relaxing at a park, went swimming. If it's to a beach, went to the beach.
If you know the people well who ask, and you feel brave, tell them you went skinny dipping, that you liked it better than sitting all day in a soggy, sandy swimsuit.

Toll Booth, Thank you for sharing your first experience with us. We too would like to visit a landed nudist resort but have yet to muster up the courage. Reading about your experience has set our minds a bit more at ease with the idea and are hoping to taking that first step too soon.

Hello All!
My boyfriend has felt comfortable posting his questions on here so I thought I would try this out myself. He and I are both new to public nudity and have had tons of questions. Its nice to see he's getting a warm response.
Anyhow, I was wondering what the general etiquette is for women. I know to bring a towel, but what else should I know?

patchouli just act as you would at any other resort. you also might want to read the etiquette section, to clear up any other questions. nothing special. common sense, common courtesy, have fun

Patchouli, Bring sunscreen, perhaps a hat, something to put on should you get chilly (tshirt), possibly lawn chairs (some parks don't have that many). Bring what you need to feel comfortable. Lingerie isn't generally acceptable. I would bring 2 towels each per day you expect to be there.
