Due to buget cuts most places don't have anybody watching the monitors. Many (like Newark AP) are broken. IF, anyone is watching the cameras in a hotel in Las Vegas, they've seen plenty of naked guys getting ice. Anniebare-"nude..in high heels", they might notice but, only to make sure you got back to your room ok. Also, 2 years ago Harrah's and Flamingo had security grards walking the hotel hallways due to problems with the fire alarms.

Next time I'm in Vegas I'll have to test that out for old times sake, Balto Bob. One can never have too much ice.
Now let's see, which heels should I pack? :)

LOL....Anne's comment scared my naked butt back into the room and I forgot about the ice. Now...Bob's comments got me thinkin' about going to get ice but...we are all packed, ready to go home tomorrow and about ready to jump into bed and say ....nighty nite!

I suspect Balto Bob is right about no one watching or caring about what goes on the video cameras, unless it's dangerous. I already mentioned I ran into another guy heading nude for the ice machine. I guess it depends on the hotel. I get so comfortable nude in the hotel room I "naturally" open the door and want to head for the ice machine. Keep the door open by pulling back the security bar or take your key with you. You'll need verification of who you are if you lose your key.
To gain confidence I always heard: "Imagine the person sitting in his underwear." Funny, I had nothing on at all.

Got down to the lobby this morning at 5am. The guy behind the front desk was asleep and the front doors locked.
His "helper"....was asleep in the dining room area of the restaurant adjacent to the front desk.
Hell......I could have walked all over that hotel last night and this morning and no one would have known! LOL

Although many smaller hotels may not have "someone watching" the monitors per say. I can assure you most larger ones do. Despite the tough economy most hotels and pretty much every resort/casino/ anything larger that a Motel 6 have security and people watching the cameras. A very good friend of mine is currently and has been in hotel Security for over 20 years. And believe me if there was anyway to wear clothes less often while staying in hotels I would find/do it:)

Annie, your post about the hot tub reminded me of an incident over 10 years ago. My friends and I were staying at the Marriott Beachplace Towers in Fort Lauderdale. The 'ground' floor of the hotel where the pool & jacuzzis are is actually 4 floors up, over a shopping center/restaurant area. One night, my friends and I were in the hot tub and of course, I slipped off my shorts and sat there naked. My shorts were out of the hot tub, just almost out of arms reach on the ground (inground jacuzzi). So wouldn't you know it, this woman comes to the hot tub with her 2 teenage daughters and another teenage boy, who I believe was either a boyfriend or good friend of the girls. Another couple had joined us earlier, but they were older, so I didn't really care. One of the teens sat right next to me, and the others on the other side of her. My friends were sitting across from me and besides themselves with laughter, thinking that I was going to get caught.
The bubbles kept me hidden, even with the lights on in the jacuzzi, while everyone was conversing. But still, my friends kept cracking up, and the woman and teens didn't understand why. I think the couple caught on as they had smiles on their faces as if they knew what was up. My friends would say little things like "oh this is gonna be great" but without giving anything away. As long as the bubbles were flowing, I was okay, but the problem was, the jacuzzi was on a timer and that thing was nearing the end. It was a few steps away from the jacuzzi too, so it wasn't like I could reach it to extend the time, and of course my friends weren't going to help me out.
So I need a plan. One of my friends was next to me on my left, so I put my arm around behind her. Slowly I started reaching back, ever so slightly lifting my butt off the seats to get a bit more reach. Nobody noticed what I was doing, so I kept doing it. I was just able to get my shorts with the tip of my fingers, so I slowly pulled them towards me until they were right behind my friends back. When nobody was looking towards me, I slipped the shorts into the water. I got them down by my feet very slowly, and edged my feet and legs into them and slowly pulled them up, nobody was the wiser. I finally got them up to my thighs, lifted my butt up slightly and slipped them up almost all the way.
Looking over at my friends I said, "I think I'm going to get out now" and saw the look on their faces like "no way, he's nuts, this is gonna be awesome". In one quick move I stood up and before my crotch was above the water, I had hiked my shorts up the rest of the way. When I stood up, VOILA, I had my shorts on. My friends faces turned from utter laughter to 'HOLY s*** HOW THE HELL DID THAT HAPPEN?????" I saw the couple start chuckling. I got up and walked away. They of course followed, just having to know how the hell I pulled that one off.

Not in a hotel but when we go on a cruise I always sit nude on our balcony. One time a female room steward came to the cabin and knocked but I did'nt hear it. She came in and started to clean , then she saw my head and opened the balcony door. When she saw me she acted like it was no big deal. I told her to go ahead and do her job. After she was done she came out on the balcony and talked for a littla while, all the while I was nude. She said she had seen it all before and it was'nt a big deal. My wife said that I should have had a towel handy. I did'nt have time to grab it so I just stayed nude. I loved it.

I spend most of my time in the hotel room nude. Once I get into the room and before unpacking, I take everything off. I have made a few trips to the ice machine nude. It has been late at night and so far never have been caught. I do use the hot tub nude when possible. I always wear a swim suit and will remove it if no one is there. There have been times people have come and with the bubbles, it has been fine. I then will slowly work the swimsuit back on so I won't make a scene. There have been times that I have been able to enjoy the hot tub entirely nude and never had to get my swimsuit wet. I got to the hot tub and no one was there, so I just slipped off my clothes and swimsuit and climbed in. When it was time to leave and no one is there, I just climbed out, dried off and got dressed, then walked back to the room. I like to remove a wet swimsuit even after getting out for the walk back and will walk back with just the towel wrapped around me with my shirt on. It is nice to sit by the pool with just a towel wrap for awhile anyway so it works well for both purposes. I was with my wife once and had my hands full walking back to the room and she pulled the towel off for a laugh. So I had to chase after her down the hall to the room with her laughing the entire way. I really didn't mind.

I'm still on the road going nude in my hotel room whenever I can. Wish it were warmer weather here in Northern California! Can't wait for the sun to come out and stay out so I can go out an stay nude!

So, I was in NYC during the blizzard of 2010. Got there the day before the storm hit. It was really cold outside. I checked in, went to my room, turned the heat up and stripped. Then I unpacked and hung up my clothes, after which I ironed my dress shirts that got wrinkled in the suitcase, of course. Didn't venture out to the ice machine as it was too far from my room. Stayed nude til I had to go out for dinner; but, returned to the natural state as soon as I returned.

Seems like I'm traveling a lot again. Last week stayed at a hotel in he midwest. Got nude as soon as I arrived in my room. I have a routine I follow in the mornings when I get dressed, in this order: socks, undershirt, underpants, dress shirt, suit trousers, shoes, tie, suit coat. I want to stay nude as long as possible. Out again next week. Maybe I'll have a nude adventure.

Just back form 4 nights at Rio in Las Vegas. Never wear clothes in my room. For those of you who have been to Vegas or Watch CSI, etc. The rooms at Rio have either red or blue tint on the floor to ceiling windows. The blue tint is much better at blocking other peoples view (esp at night). I alway ask for the taller tower, too.

Hey Sensorky, I do the exact same thing when traveling...the minute I get to my room, I get completely nude, then I take my time putting all my cloths away. I usually stop and grab a 12 pack of beer before checking in, so while unpacking, I'm having a cold beer and enjoying the freedom of being nude. I travel 90% of the time, so being able to be comfortable while unpacking definitely makes it much more enjoyable.
I will be back on the road next week, headed to a very small town in western Virginia for a week, so going to make the best of it as soon as I get back to the room each night!!!

Spent the last couple of days in GA...and I thought of some of the posts I've read here...mostly going for ice. Ice machine wasn't too far away but I didn't try it. However, I did open the door, walk out into the hallway, look both ways (didn't see anyone), so I didn't rush back in. Picked up the paper outside my door, read the headlines and then walked back into my room. Grand total of about 2 min. out in the hallway. Hey...it's a start.
