Hello all, We r getting excited- our Florida vacation to Disney, universal studios is right around the corner... We r gonna be at cypress cove during our stay, and just hoping for any last minutes heads ups. My son is 9 and we will probably visit another resort or beach, since I've got to drop off apps in ft lauderdale, I was hoping some members most knowledgable about Florida would advise us on a great family friendly beach and/or resort, any part of Florida, with lots of families mid February? Thanks! ...I wasn't sure where best place to ask, let me know if there is better forum for my question-

Happy New Year. If you're going to go, go to Haulover Beach in Miami Beach FL. But go on the weekend as there are more people, families, as well as the Beach Ambassadors in the teal helmets.
As for nudist camps, I used to live in - -, but there are no kids there. If I were you I'd go to Cypress Cove. It's great, lots of kids, and best of all in near Disney World! Good luck and enjoy yourselves.

Please check out Sunsport Gardens near West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale www(dot)sunsportgardens(dot)com. They have their mid-winter festival going on at exactly that time complete with children's activities.

I've been to SS many times, and I agree with all the above writers. It definitely has children. Volleyball. Dance pavilion. Restaurant. And keep in mind that Florida weather still is not very warm in many parts; therefore, the further south you go, the better.
