A curious conversation after dinner this evening with 20-something daughter with dad. Mom is out of town.
Backstory, mom and dad made their first trip to Club Orient a decade ago. Several trips back to St. Martin, including one with her when we stayed up the beach at L'Hoste. She was maybe 16 at the time and a little unnerved at the public nudity although mom and dad had always been c/o at home.
Even in late teenage years and early 20's, always a bit of the eye-roll when we were off to Living Waters Spa, back to Club O or that unnamed resort north of Tampa that was the subject of some controversy on this forum a while back.
A year ago, we moved to the southeast USA. Recently mom and dad have been wandering up to Paradise Valley Resort http://paradisevalleyclub.com/on nice weekends.
Tonight...
Daughter said, "Looks like another warm weekend coming up."
Dad said, "A little cooler but still heading to ninety, weather forecast looks great."
Daughter said, "But still pretty hot."
Dad said, "Yes, but okay either inside or poolside."
Daughter said, "Well, I've got a dinner on Friday night and I'm taking the day off on Saturday. Planned to spend time with you guys by the pool on Saturday. There's a late party on Saturday night. Might be working Sunday."
Dad said, "You mean up at the nude resort?"
Daughter said, "Yeah. You told me they have three pools and a two spas. Ok if I come?"
Dad said, "Sure honey, you'll have a great time."
Suddenly, daughter feels comfortable in her own skin.
Talk to mom later on the phone. Mom and dad remind themselves that (1) there is no reliable guide to parenting and (2) just when you think you understand parenting there's another surprise.
I'll let all y'all know how this turns out.

LOL I know what you mean, as soon as you have them figured out they will make a liar out of you. We have two teen boys that seem to be finding their way back to the nudist life. Their not there yet but your story gives us even more hope.

if teens and young adults find the nudist lifestyle again or for the first time they are so lucky, back in the 70's and early 80's when i was single nudism wasn't talked about as openly as it is now and a single male was taboo at a nudist resort. i wish nudism was more popular back then..

Hi All,
That's great when younger folks have an interest. I remember that long ago at Bluebonnet, the resort I visit, there would be a lot of folks on the weekend, and a good mix of younger people too. That seems to have changed. There are less folks, and an older group too. Nothing wrong with that, I'm just surprised at the drop off.
