If you read this article, at the bottom of the page is a place to vote whether or not you would..."bare it all at a nude beach."
Couldn't hurt to visit the site and vote so the numbers in the USA Today article mirror the numbers of Trip Advisor's report!

I also recall the NYT doing a piece on naturist travel/resorts on the front page of their Travel section a couple of years back. Was sort of floored to see it there. Maybe, little by little...

I just read some of the comments on the USA Today piece. The same old: "Nudists are fat/ugly/old/gross slobs who should keep their clothes on." Obviously not perfect specimens of humanity like clothed people. Don't these commentators every check out peopleofwalmart.com; their delusion will be exposed quickly.

I spent 11 days going nude at 3mile and wreck beach. All shapes and sizes.
Wreck seems to have a High Percentage of young people that are fit, both male and female.
Looking for a place to go this winter, that has a CO beach. What I don't need is 5 star accommodation that comes with a High price. Only need a room to Sleep In for 8 hours per day, if that! I also want to be able to walk from my room to the beach nude , if desired.

well the yes were at 45 % but the no vote was 39% so as usual a divided society, i don't think things will ever change for nudist in the usa but glad other countries are more accepting. i do see a few more beaches being posted but i would love to see at least one in everyy state and maybe a few hiking /biking trails also, i guess the government doesn't think nudist pay taxes too...

Just my opinion, of course, but...I think some of these polls may just help our cause with some of those on the fence with at least trying it.
It's not going to change the world's or even this country's view of naturism or nudists but...for those that may be fence riders...like our kid's friend's...this type of stuff could get them to think...."hey, 48-50% of people polled have done it or tried it...I'm thinking about it...must not be that big a deal! I think I'll try it."
These friends of our kids...they ask us questions about naturism all the time and I think reading something like this and seeing that lots of people try it and like it...that would at least get them to get down to a beach and give a go! We can hope anyway! LOL

I think you will find that this topic is much like politics in the US. It is not the right or left that decides but the undecided. Those that are unsure have to be persuaded and convinced to our way of thinking. Positive promotion is the key.

Even as the percentage of people who would go naked on the beach increases, nude beaches in America (e.g., San Onofre) are under increasing legal assault. What's wrong with this picture?

To bad the "no" vote is 44%.
I just voted again though. I guess it doesn't register your IP address, so we can vote more than once.

Hey, Rooftop, guess you got lucky. I got on again tonight and it showed the graph but no access to vote. Jimmie
