We also have heard very good things about Cherokee in the last year or so. Hope to give it a try sometime.

I had a really bad experience yesterday at this resort. I was working in the Nashville area, had a little spare time and drove around a hundred miles to get there. When I pulled in I could tell the place was practically deserted. It was cold, so I didn't expect many to be outside. Sally, (the owner/manager I assume) told me they had a hot tub when I asked about it, and she pointed to where the building was that housed it. I reasoned that even though there was no one else there, I'd just stay and read in the hot tub and hopefully it would warm up a little outside and/or some others would show up to visit with. I only had about 2 or 3 hours to spend.
Well, the water in the hot tub was almost stone cold. The room it was in was too cold to stay in disrobed. I tried sitting in the tub anyway and got out after only a couple of minutes. It just wasn't comfortable at all. I sent a text to the manager asking if the temperature could be increased. She sent one back saying that "we have been having a little difficulty with it, but someone is coming soon to fix it." I sent a reply asking if that meant immediately or some time in the future. She responded that she did not know.
I started getting dressed again, thinking, "This is ridiculous!" About that time, the maintenance man showed up and went to the back of the building. I walked outside to see what was going on. He said they had been having trouble with the hot tub tripping circuit breakers. He said it would take about 2 hours to heat up. I told him I just needed a refund because I didn't have the time to spare. He said I would need to talk with Sally at her house. When I went there, she flatly refused saying they have a policy of "no refunds." I reminded her that I had asked her specifically about the hot tub when I checked in. She said they didn't know it wasn't working. (although their texts prove they knew there was at least that potential) She said she would make a note of it and would let me come in free next time. I reminded her I was from Alabama and didn't know when or if I could come back in the forseeable future. She resolutely refused a refund and acted like she could hardly care less that I didn't enjoy the experience. I didn't see anything else that could be done there in the nude since it was cold, so I just left. (Even the pool table was broken down and in a little unheated building with the doors hanging off the hinges)
Look, folks. For all I know, they had shut the hot tub off the night before to save money. After all, there was virtually no one there. If not, it is even worse because they are sending customers into a hot tub that has a known short in the electrical wiring. This place was obviously nice at one time but it looks unkept now. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
Let's see. Drive 4 hours, spend $40 in fuel. Pay resort $27.44 to sit in cold water for 2 or 3 minutes, alone, blissfully nude. Thanks Cherokee Lodge and Resort of Crossville, TN. This is what nudism at quality resorts is all about.
