Hi,
anyone been to the nude part of oval beach this year 2012? If so how was it? I would like to go there again and would like to camp nude near there. any advice or ideas?

There is no official nude area anymore. However most nudists hangout between the north edge of Oval beach and the pier, just beyond the 500' sign and just up in the dunes. No nudity on the beach, too many people walking back and forth. There is no nude camping around Saugatuck either.

The beach is not patrolled any more after Labor Day. Come on down and have some fun. Oval Beach, half way between the public beach and the pier :}

There is not designated nudist area. Everyone can wander by, but no one bothers you and I've never seen any authority figures. Just be discreet. The area north of the pier you are referring to is state park land, no designated area there either. And yes they patrol the beach sometimes there. The best place to be naked is on the south side, north of oval beach just past the 500' signs, which they haven't taken down yet. See you there!

July, 2015...update: saugatuck oval beach, is not nude, never has been. Just walk north from the public beach towards the pier. Go about half way. Then walk up in the dunes. You may be discreetly nude there. No one will bother you. Best place around to be naked on the lakeshore.

We're going to be in Benton Harbour Memorial day weekend. Can I assume all that weekend, is nude at the beach. How's parking? Hope to see you there.
