I have been there 3 or 4 times and recommend going. A safe, nice place. But the male head honcho is a jerk, a jerk, a jerk. His wife is very nice as are the rest of the staff. I could always snap the jerk's neck. The rest are good. Go.

Happy Nuding.

I got that feeling about him when I talked to him on the phone. I told my wife he sounded like a jerk.I asked if he had a hot tub and told me SOMETIMES. I was not sure what sometimes ment.
Thanks for your input.

Is he a jerk to newbies? Being a jerk is one thing, but if he is a "newbies must get naked on first visit" kind of jerk, then it's an important point to bring up to prospective first-timers - particularily if there is a reluctant spouse involved.

My wife and I have been there 3 or 4 times. I think the rule is that you are to be nude in the pool area (unless there is a reason which prevents it), but everywhere else I think it is optional. Each time we went, everybody seemed nice and polite. (including the man and woman who run the office) Of all the times we have visited, the hot tub has never been operational. The pool area is small, but adequate. There were usually only 15-20 people around the pool when we went. Most were sitting around talking or simply sunbathing. They would just slip in the pool every so often to cool off so the pool wasn't crowded. Most of the people we have met have been members, but there always seems to be a few visitors. Like I said earlier, everybody has always been nice to us.

I have seen nicer facilities, but it is adequate, especially if you are just there for a day trip to soak up some rays. Give it a try!

We were thinking of going for a few days and stay in one of the rentals in July.

I was there over memorial day weekend and it was my first time. I don't think the guy knows how to smile. Everyone else more than made up for it with friendliness

I was there a few years ago when Carol and her husband owned it. I've never met the new owner. As regards the hot tub, I was told there was a new one on-route from Japan which was to be larger than the old one. They have an excellent 4th of July celebration. There is a parade (all nude) around the common with carrying of the flags, painted children, ice cream social, DJ, and all go-carts decorated amd in the parade. And I believe we sang God Bless America around the flag pole. There are fairly extensive nature walks; it is a rather large park. And there is the super volleyball tournament Labor Day when people come from all over the country to participate.

With regard to the volleyball tournament and the 4th of July parade, I am afraid I made an error; and I profusely apologize. Those activities take place at White Thorn Lodge in Western PA. I must have had a senior moment; and again I apologize. I hate receiving bad info, and likewise I hate giving out wrong info.

If you want a nice place, this isn't it. My family and I stayed there over Memorial Day weekend a year or two ago.

The hot tub wasn't working, and hadn't for some time;

There was only one showerhead near the pool, and it was cold-only;

The only other showers were in a dingy bathhouse out by the RV parking sites.

They allow kids, but they don't welcome them. Most of their organized activities are adults-only. I saw only one other kid there (I have kids).

On the good side, the people (residents & guests) were nice, and they had a great campfire with singers one night.

You would be much happier at WhiteTail up in Virginia!

White Tail is classy, no doubt. I was impressed with staff and nudists and the kids and entertainment.

Whispering Pines is more than OK but the male head honcho is a jerk, is a jerk, is a jerk.

Happy Nuding.
