you would think local governments would see the $$$ income benefit to the local community with a nude beach just look at Haulover the place is packed and just cause they wear no pockets at the beach they have cash to spend when they park, eats, sleep and visit the stores spreading the wealth. Some people yeah those in government just don't get it.
I have family in Bradenton, I looked but couldn't find any. There is a non-landed club in the area, can't remember the name offhand. Other than that Tampa is the closest resort, then Kissimmee.
I have been to Fort DeSoto a few times. There is an area where sunbathers wear minimal swimwear and will occasionally be nude. The regulars frown on anyone that flaunts nudity since it will bring the authorities and increased enforcement. Keep your genitals under wraps while walking around. Discreet sunbathing and skinny dipping shouldn't get you in trouble.
