Thanks everyone!! So far we're (love saying that) just at home. But all it took was me being nude as much as possible and some patience. Now... more patience until we go social. So excited!

Wow...I just posted on the same topic just a while ago somewhere else. I call it the nudist "breakthrough".
I went through a slow, occasionally frustrating (for me), occasionally irritating (for her) drawn out process with my x. Walking through the house nude, talking about nudism, leaving nudist mags lying around the house. There were a few small victories - like when I finally got her to start sleeping nude - and small moments where I'd actually get her to watch something on TV nude with me. But it was mostly "moments"...5 mns here, an hour there...that was it. Then, one day, pretty much out of nowhere, she did a complete 180. It was really a convergence of different things that allowed that moment to take place: a combination of physical exhaustion, my own nudity, being the only dressed person in the house, having gotten accustomed to the idea of nudity in general. It happened in a split second as she yanked herself out of her PJ's, hung them up and didn't put them back on again. After that day she would just come home after work, shower and just stay nude. All it took was that one event.
Social nudity happened about the same way. Reluctant trips to nudist resorts where she didn't really enjoy the whole "social nudity" aspect of things - or parting with her sarong for more than a few minutes at a time. Until one evening at a get-together. All it took was a great conversation and becoming buddies with a couple of nudists; and the next thing I knew, there she is being joyfully animated, in the middle of a conversation, and completely nude. She didn't even make a reach for it that entire evening; and we even ended up staying late because she wanted to help our host clean up, still nude as everyone was getting dressed and leaving.
The moral of my story...persistence and perseverance...doesn't always pay off; but when it does it is wonderful! Congratulations!

Hey fordman, that is wonderful news. It really just takes lots of patience from you and trust on her part.
On a side note: When you know it's time and you start talking about going somewhere social, think of White Tail Resort which is not far from Richmond.
It's always nice to here success stories from others on this forum and we hope for many many more.

Ironically, OUR first nudist resort trip was WTP - as we lived in VA back then. I called the owner ahead of time to make sure it was ok for her to stay covered; he very graciously okay'd it. I took her on a spring morning weekday, to minimize the amount of people we'd run into and ensure she'd feel no pressure to be nude. Those were pretty much the conditions we'd agreed on for her first resort trip. And it'd taken quite a while for that to even happen.
It wasn't a complete success but it was a good start. She went nude just a little bit here and there, but enjoyed it. When we were getting ready to leave she had her first conversation with a nude person, something she'd thought herself incapable of doing. It pretty much set the ground work for her next big breakthrough: social nudity.
Anyway, food for thought and perhaps something to work towards!

Fordman, that is good news. That gives me some hope that if I remain patient enough, someday I might be able to share a similar story. Though a far cry from social nudity, I did notice something yesterday that I would count as one of her "steps". We have both shaved for years, but about 3 weeks before her yearly exam, she would always let things grow back. I guess she was embarrassed to be seen smooth by the (female) doctor. Well I learned yesterday that she has an appointment today, and this time she has kept things shaved. Baby steps...

Before I was married my wife only tried it once at a nude beach only went topless which for her being not so large breasted was nothing special as far as it didnt draw attention to her.

The Prof had her annual appointment the other day. Since she's been smooth for several years now, she makes sure she's clean shaved for her visits.
She said that our doctor, a female, asked her if she gets waxed or shaves. She said ... "I shave the top 1/2, Fire shaves the bottom and gets anywhere I missed." The doctor told her,"you guys might want to try salon, they wax both women and men. My husband and I go every couple months."
So ... our doctor has just admitted that she too is pubic hairless. I think it's just more common to see it nowadays. Maybe it's not that the majority of men and women are pubic hairless but I'm sure the doctor has seen it all!
Loves being naked. Plays well with others!

I can tell you that baby steps still get you to the top of the stairs..and paitence is somethig that is required.
