Anybody familiar with any of these gorges? Heard they have areas for nude swimming. Wintergreen Gorge in Erie, Pa., Chautauqua Gorge in Mayville, NY. And Zoar Valley gorge in Cattaraugus, Where are they located? Are they safe from authorities and how easily can you physically get to them? I'm not in my 20s anymore so mountain climbing is out.
Daretobare, I can't say anything about Wintergreen Gorge in Erie. But, Chautauqua Gorge in western N.Y. is a nude area, once you pass the painted rock that says " Nude people ahead". Zoar Valley has been declared a textile area by the local police. ( lost that one ) Chautauqua is between Ripley and Mayville N.Y. Zoar is near Gowanda N.Y.
