I read a thread that suggested certain topics have become a staple and repetitive. Several of the contributors said they would try and think up something original.
I have added a poetry page and littered it with humble submissions in the hope that it may gather a little momentum but to date no one has joined in.
Another try is this inane but hopefully stimulating discussion thread and I don't think it's been covered.
When NASA sent Voyager out to the stars it represented mankind as Naturists on plaque designed to communicate information about our species.
How do you think different sections in our worldwide community should have represented mankind? Buddhists, Christians, Conservatives, Liberals, Indigenous populations etc? Does the NASA plaque unite or divide humanity in an attempt to portray it?

Naturists lent textiles the world — Their shame is they won't give it back.
I will kick off by saying the plaque misses the point as it shows a species confident in its self-image. If I had designed the plaque I would have shown two embarrassed humans, naked but covering their genitals. That way aliens would understand the majority of the population.
