It doesn't look too good for the trip right now. Meri's home Coconut Creek is somewhere between 10 & 12 hrs. drive from here. I'd rather you come and visit here during Xmas break than drive that distance by myself. Hugs, cheri

The weather at Haulover is generally warm enough year-round, although in winter it can occasionally be iffy. My wife and I will be down there mid/late January, as we were a few years ago. The odds of good weather are strong enough that we're willing to take the risk. Of course, we're making it a "surer" bet of good weather by going on a cruise to St Martin after we go to Haulover.

We can walk along the beach here, fully clothed, its that cold. We were in Miami one winter, thought we would exscape the frigid Canadian winter. Wouldn't you know it it was raining and too cold in Miami to go to the beach.

Kim,
You could always venture to the land down-under! You and the family are always welcome at my place.

Kim,
To be honest they aren't that flash in Sydney. The beaches are way better in Queensland although there are very few official nude beaches in the entire state. Tho' my avatar was taken in Queensland... The nudity laws are still quite liberal.

I wasn't refering to just nude beaches, but all beaches. I am like you Sponatanudity, prefer the pristine tropical beaches.

Only problem with the beaches in the north is that get warm currents which bring all the stingers with them. So you can't actually swim in the hotter months of the year.

Same thing happens on the Souther coast of the US. We couldn't go swimming one day because of a jelly fish bloom.

Its strange how you say south and we're concerned with the north. :)
we have a lot of issues with stingers and other four legged friends (crocodiles) during the summer in far north Queensland and the Northern Territory.

I would suspect we have about the same weather where I live as it is in Tazmainia. We don't have any crocks or stingers here, occasional crab. We have to go to the warmer climes to get those. When we to Florida last year, we saw a gator crossing the road. The people told us they get on the golf course too. People around there said they loose their pets to gators. Thats not one place I want to go swimming.

I was at haulover this weekend and it was packed. The sun was warm and being there was really enjoyable. There are some times during the year when it can be a little to cold to be on the beach nude but that is mostly when the sun is covered by clouds. I will certainly try to get to the beach just before Christmas especially since we will be traveling to Northern Missouri on Christmas day where it is reported to get down below 0 with the wind chill factor and being a Florida native I need to store up my beach rays. This weekend was wonderful with the exception of this man and his family (wife and 2 kids) walking around taking pictures with his cell phone. My wife was uncomfortable and would not disrobe because of him and we were right next to the lifeguard stand.
