Naturist Life International is a Christian naturist publication and organization.

www.naturistlife.com

Founded and run by Jim Cunningham from his home in Vermont, NLI publishes approximately 3 times per year (though not always on time). The issues are always of high quality, with many tasteful photos of chaste family naturism.

While some readers are put off by some of Jim Cunningham's opinions, there are many articles both by him and others (of other creeds, too), that are educational, informative, thoughtful, and entertaining.

The photography alone is worth the price. The articles make it a bargain.

Latter-Day Saint Skinny-Dipper Connection is not really an organization at all.

www.ldssdc.info

It's more of a "registry" of Latter-Day Saints (a.k.a. "Mormons") who have come to realize the joys of naturism. The "Connections" page is the center-piece of the site, with more than 350 surveys that have been submitted since the site began several years ago. This might seem slow, but it isn't too bad, considering that the site isn't really ever promoted in a major way. Those who submit surveys to the Connections page may also have requests for e-mail contact with anyone else on the list forwarded through the site.

Founded and run by Alan and Kathy Palmer, a naturist couple currently residing in Southern California, the LDSSDC website has many articles and essays regarding naturism from a Latter-Day Saint perspective, specifically addressing issues that are of greatest concern to members of that faith.

[Note, I am registered with this site as number 047. My wife is number 114.]

It goes way past Jim's opinions. He's had his children taken away from him for abuse and his wife left him for awhile too although she did go back to him.

He's ran off many of his followers with his wierd rules, and many people think he's quite crazy. We really don't need people like him representing nudism. I don't want people to think he's a typical nudist.

Out of my mind.....

back in five minutes.

cyndiann,

There's a great deal of rumormongering going on about the Cunningham family. Many of the rumors I've heard are contradictory. Given how many people truly HATE Jim C., I would assume that in addition to the "telephone game" effect that is typical with most gossip, there have likely been some outright lies manufactured to discredit the man.

I do know for certain that the family has gone through some money problems. I know that those money problems have caused a strain on his marriage. I also know that he and his wife were separated for a while. I know that they are now back together. Beyond that, I don't anything for certain.

I'll leave the tabloid-esque gossip alone. It's just not appropriate.

NLI is still an excellent publication for conservative nudists.

Greg

One problem with all that.... what I posted were not rumors. I really did my homework before saying what I did. What I found out were firsthand accounts with more than one credible witness. I would not post otherwise.

I belong to FENAIT or FEderazione NAturista ITaliana. The Italian Naturist Federation. It's based in Torino and publishes a naturist magazine called INFO Naturista with texts in both Italian and English. They have a website which can be found at www.fenait.org . They are a wonderful group of people and work constantly for a naturist law here in Italy.

Nude in Thailand February 2010
My wife and I have just returned from a months vacation in Thailand that included visits to the two clothing optional resorts, one lonely 1.5 kilometer beach, a deserted island with a 500 meter white sand beach and crystal clear water, and a nude cruise.

There are places to go nude and get an all over tan in Thailand you just have to have the right information. I get mine from www.Thailandnaturist.com. We stayed at www.ChanResort.com which is clothing optional resort in Pattaya, only an hour and a half from Bangkok.

We made this our headquarters for the month. Chan Resort is a small 9 petite villa resort between Pattaya and Jomtien. It is run by the Chan family, which really cares for the temperament of naturists. You can be nude at the pool around your villa and sometimes going to and from the pool. There will be some folks with clothes on so you have to be a strong naturist. You can not be nude in the eating area or office. You will need your towel or a Pakama (a short Thai sarong) which are nice and cheap and should cost less than 4 dollars. Mr. Chan will usually come out and bring you a nice cold young coconut to drink. A standard American breakfast is served starting at 0800 hrs.

We made a nude cruise to a deserted island from Pattaya on the 23 meter boat Edina. Where the boat anchored it was 10 meters deep water and was as clear as looking in a glass of water. Of course as soon as we were out of the port off came the clothes, some folks hit the sun deck, others the lounge, and a couple just sat in the fighting chairs and soaked up the rays. We swam to the beach we had a nice barbeque, then snorkeled and enjoyed ourselves on the beach.

We also made a day trip to Koh Larn island and visited the clothing optional beach that is developing there. You can take a slow boat or a fast boat to the island and then a Songkaw Taxi to Samae Beach. Once at Samae Beach go to the most southern part away from the resort areas. There are two trees that will give you some shade. You can rent lunge chairs from the resort, they will charge you about 300 baht (less than ten dollars). If you get hungry put on a wrap and go to the resort, place your order and they will bring it to you.

Later in the month we rented a car in Pattaya (brought my own GPS with Thai chip) and drove to www.thai-bamboo.de (we used Google Translate to translate the website from German to English) in Cha Am. It is about 1.5 to 2 hour drive from Bangkok and is an easy drive. We planned to stay at Thai-Bamboo for 4 days and also visit Hua Hin.

Of course we visited the lonely 1.5 kilometer beach in Cha Am. The beach is beautiful and the only place we have found Sand Dollars in Thailand. The water here is much better than the beaches in Pattaya. Thai-Bamboo is out of town so a car is needed or you can arrange with Rudy the owner to get you there and back.
