Never happened, but might be pretty cool.

Would not pack up and leave. Probably exchange pleasant nods but that's it. Would not go out of my way to avoid them or try to talk to them. Nor would I expect anything different from them. Like Ricky Nelson sang in Garden Party. You can't please everyone but you got to please yourself.

Or would you stay clear of them - or pack up and call it a day - because you feel that nude or not, strained relationships cannot be fixed with just a "naked smile"?

I try and not hold a grudge but depending on the circumstances ... I may. I guess it would depend on what those circumstances were that caused the falling out. If it was significant enough for me to still be pissed ... I'd just ignore them.

Even with my position on the FD, I still felt that my personal life was mine. I didn't shy away from the way I lived at home, when I was working and living in my second home; the fire station. I sat and talked to all of those that were on my crew and those that would work overtime on my crew, even the female firefighters. ALL the female firefighters took the news better than some of the male firefighters. An explanation of my life as a nudist "at the fire station" was received quite well, for the most part. Only two guys had issue with it and later ... they both admitted to just having their panties in a bunch over something else I made them do and that's how they were going to give me grief over it ... by complaining about my nudity.

My wife was a different story. Being a college professor, she felt that she didn't need the notoriety or the exposure of her lifestyle to her colleagues or her students. I respected that and if she thought she saw someone that she might know ... we would quietly find somewhere else to go. This happened at the beach once and we just picked up and moved. Turned out it wasn't anyone she knew.

Loves being naked. Plays well with others!

I guess I'm lucky that my chances are pretty low as I only get to go to Gunnison (NJ) or MAHESO (MD) once per year and most of my family or friends are in upstate NY and my co-workers are in VA.

I have a great story on this topic. My wife and I were at Orient Beach and it was the first vacation we had taken to a clothing optional beach. My wife was initially pretty uncomfortable and I was (frankly) surprised when she got naked. We are lounging on the beach a few days later and her comments were along the lines it.... It's not like we know anyone here...6,000 miles from our Midwestern hometown. .... As we sit there a guy starts talking to the people in the chair next to us and eventually he introduces himself to them. We can overhear the conversation and he says, " I'm from **** Iowa". .... Our home town! At the time, I was sitting on the lounger only wearing a baseball cap. The logo was the very popular high school from our home town. My wife looked at me and with that look we husbands all know, reached up and took my hat off my head. We still laugh about it. I also was taken promptly to the Club O store and bought a hat!

Horace yes we all know that look. My ex wife use to give it. As well as several ex girlfriends. My very soon to be wife gives it. In fact us guys have been getting it long before we starting dating. our Mothers use to give it to us. In fact my Mom was still giving it to me before she left this world. It's the one trait all girls are born with.
LOL

My philosophy about running into someone I worked with/knew at a clothing optional place is the same as the closeted guys being afraid of being "exposed" on gay dating apps... you're both there for the same reason, so you're both equally on the hook, and fates entwined...If they threatened to share your secret, the question would fall back on them, of what were they doing there.

That being said, I'm from a small town, so seeing anyone I knew from there would probably be awkward, as well as any boss- past or present.

Hasn't happened for many years but it happened twice. Once a girlfriend of my then girlfriend walked along the beach, I had good eyesight then and recognised her from a distance, tried not to look obvious or desperate and just put a shirt over my face. I figured she had never seen me naked and she was a nurse so apart from being used to seeing naked people would not recognise me. Not sure if she saw my car which was a bit distinctive.

The second time was a girl I worked with, she walked past at a beach, reasonably close wearing only a tiny g-string, saw my shaved bits and took a second look and then recognised me. She turned away to leave, then came back, we talked and it was fine. We always had a knowing smile for each other at work, nothing else ever came of it.
