Welcome to the forum Adamskostum. I think that is neat how you just gave up underware. Here in the colder climes it helps sometimes to wear underware when you have the cold wind whipping under your skirt.

Naturalgar,
If you get a leather kilt, you would be covering both of your ancestoral bases (among other things), Scottish and Italian (Roman). Cool idea. My wife teaches at a school that has a kilt wearing mascot and attended a college that also had kilt wearing mascots and drum corps. She says her college required their kilts to be worn in the original Scottish fashion (no undies). Don't ask me how she knew. Maybe I should investigate this further.

It ain't cheap, but Utilikilts makes a leather kilt Besides, cotton, denim, etc.
Check out their entire line at www.utilikilts.com If you go to the "Previous Photo Contest Winners", and hit the guy for "September 2001," you'll see me in my green twill and read the poem "Ode to My Utilikilt" that won me my second UK !

Nat,
Not wearing a kilt today...but not wearing underwear under my jeans either....feels great!! I didnt know what the Scots wore under their kilts until Mel Gibson did "Braveheart" There's a scene where they all moon the opossing army before the charge on the battlefield.

A couple of my good friends at work are in our dept.'s Emerald Society Pipe&Drum marching band. They said that nearly all the members wear their kilts sans underwear. Besides being authentic, its also much cooler while marching in parades in hot weather.

Welcome to the forum dsutfin04. The feeling of wearing no underware is great, when you can get away with it!

I haven't worn underwear in 15 years. Last time I tried wearing a pair I was so uncomortable all day I couldn't wait to get home and get them off. Can't imagine why anyone wears them.

Quite often I don't... Find it's more comfortable, especially in warm weather.
